Being Jewish with a very non-Jewish sounding name is *a trip*.
People will openly tell you the craziest most bigoted stuff before you let them know you're a member of the tribe and it gets all awkward...
Whatever one thinks of the decision to bomb Iran (I believe there may be a humanitarian case, though I could be wrong), what remains deeply troubling is how few people are involved in such consequential decisions — and how weak the democratic accountability is.
War powers in a democracy should not rest in so few hands.

The administration's response to the Signal debacle is just suffused with contempt for their own voters. Just an endless belief that the people who support them can be tricked into believing the laziest misdirection imaginable.
