@Shapiro_WTHS A3: I am working on becoming more intentional with my words and leaving more space in conversations. Making sure that those I am speaking with are heard just as much as me! Also acknowledging what people are saying so they know I am listening.
@Shapiro_WTHS A2: It is easier to lecture and fill the room with your voice than it is to listen. Listening requires more patience and understanding than lecturing does.
@Shapiro_WTHS A1: I think that the art of listening means to truly understand and engage with what someone else is saying, and not insert yourself over the top of them. By really listening you can connect with someone on a deeper level.
@coachthomastech@Shapiro_WTHS BQ: I wanted to become a teacher because I wanted a career that I felt was truly making a difference in the world. I always admired my teachers so much and I hope to be that for my students one day!

I recommend following @Malala Yousafzai. She is an advocate for girls education and fights against groups like the taliban that have banned girls from schools in Afghanistan. She is an inspiration to all #educ331#pstpln#FF
A teaching resource that I like and have seen used in the classroom is pear deck. It allows teachers to conduct many formative assessments during a class period and keeps students more engaged in a lecture style setting. #educ331#pstpln https://t.co/hjmKbL7xIZ

@KimberlyEs65069 Hey Kimberly, I'm not a math person but I think that in a math classroom it would be important to show how apps like photomath can be useful in some situations but also unhelpful in others so students are aware that not all math can be solved using apps. #EDUC331#pstpln
@Parker_artclass I haven't used social media much in my classroom, but it can be fun to simulate it by having students create fake posts that relate to the content and demonstrate their knowledge of the content. #EDUC331#pstpln
@aca11tree Hey Acacia, my favorite thing I have seen was having students work in groups to make assumptions about the teacher based on the classroom environment. This gets the kids to use their observations skill and can lead to some interesting responses! #EDUC331#pstpln
My question for today is: From your past experiences, what are some of the best strategies that you have used for building relationships with students? #EDUC331#pstpln
I love teaching because it I know that I have an impact on kids and that I can make the world a better place through education! #EDUC331#pstpln#celebratemonday
