@Gray_LZ@Ravensfell I had an exceptional education by the Sisters of St. Joseph (Brentwood) who taught way more than what was required. We were students during Vietnam. My brother came home from Da Nang when I was in 7th grade.
@Daily_Express I finally sat thru their docudrama & he’s said that he’s happier without them (RF) he’s got the perfect life. He’s his own man, out of the institution, royal rota out of his hair. So why reconcile? Probably another lie from KP (according to H&M).
@Ravensfell@Gray_LZ I’m with you Ravensfell. I read Oedipus Rex in 7th grade (Catholic school); was surprised my friends hadn’t read it until 10th grade (public school). Their teacher had a very colorful description of the story’s plot. A son who f-c-k-s his mom & kills his dad. Dumbed down.
@TaraBull We have a cousin with DS who is now in his 50’s. The most affectionate, funny guy. His parents not only raised him and his two non-DS siblings but also fostered children. There’s a special place in Heaven for people like him and them.
Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸
@theblackcrowes The one thing that YOU should be proud of about living in the USA is your 1st Amendment right to spout off against the government and the people you disagree with, without being hauled off to prison or worse, being executed for speaking your mind. 🇺🇸 America! Land of the free! 🇺🇸
@Fascinate_Hist 24 in school 40 in total on this list. I read all of J.R.R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings books as well (required reading in HS), also Beowulf, Lewis Carroll books and Alexandre Dumas, among many other 19th century authors.
@SociologenHD Jews have literally lived in Israel for thousands of years. It’s been called many different names over the centuries, but it’s still the birthplace of Jesus. Jerusalem hailed Him on Palm Sunday. Just where do the Irish think Jews should live? Israel is their home!
@martinamcbride What a stupid move. You and all the other artists who have backed out of this event to celebrate our country’s birthday because Donald Trump is the president and is promoting this event might want to rethink this. Unless you want to lose 90% of your fanbase? Then have at it, Sis!
@primordials0und@signsofaging I still live off the Q18. My rants to the MTA & NYCTBUS pages before I retired in December were legendary. They stopped responding to me.. 😂
