What an adventure and learning experience #ccom315 was! Thank you for teaching me everything I needed to learn to advance my communication skills! Check out my final website at: https://t.co/cH7PrWef8L
@Chelsea_Orr17 This is a good example as it combines old and new ways of writing the internet and I like this even more because it show how sever cyberbullying can be which shows how writing the internet can impact people. We need to keep in mind people when writing the internet! #315weekeight
Through watching a few videos on the #FutureOfWriting, I have seen a theme of the idea of multi-media being incorporated. I have also noticed that people believe that there will be much change which is similar to my thoughts!
Talking about "always-on," I like to compare my grade 9-11 students to my friends and I in high school. When I was that age we were just beginning being "always-on," so we knew how to step back while my students are "always-on." Students can't put their phones down. #315weekeight
I 100% agree and would like to add that by having phones, we forget about living in the moment as we constantly post pictures or stories just to show what we are up to. I would challenge myself and others to go out for a day without our phones and see what happens. #315weekeight
I think that online participation is important to connect with others, but there needs to be this balance! Although online can provide benefits, too much of it is bad for you! You need to take time to live in the moment by being mindful & away from the screens! #315WeekEight
I turn off my phone for periods of time in the day as it forces me to disconnect despite the fact that I am still on my computer. I do not know about others but I know that I am more likely to look at texts, facebook, and instagram on my phone than on my computer. #315weekeight
I used to feel always on but I thought I no longer did, now I wonder. Boyd pointed out that she could not figure out how long she spent on the web because it was just constant use and perhaps that is true with me but perhaps I have begun to overcome this feeling. #315weekeight

@hannah_bicher This is such a good point. Brining in personal bias really connects different ideas from our course and shows how someone can affect the world in the simplest of ways. As well the fact that anyone can edit can boost the changes on some pages versus others.
@sara_terwindt This is such a sad fact! I hope as the world takes more and more steps to modernization, women start to play a larger role in making changes to Wikipedia and other online resources.
