The Stablecoin Conference by @Bitso in CDMX proved once again why Mexico could become the epicenter of crypto in LatAm.

These are my thoughts after the conference: 👇👇

- Timing couldn’t have been better. Stablecoins are at peak hype post-Genius Act.

- Mexico City is probably the best city for an event in Latin America: easy access for US people, direct flights from Europe, and visa-friendly for dozens of countries. Connecting VCs, builders, and foundations.

- @Bitso proved why it’s LatAm’s crypto heavyweight, more than an exchange, it’s a platform shaping stablecoin adoption and one of the few able to bring startups, TradFi, and regulators under one roof.

- Stablecoins aren’t just “remittances.” We’re talking treasuries, savings, and payments. Real infrastructure.

- Abstraction is the endgame. Mass adoption will only happen once experiences are so smooth that users forget the complexity behind them.

- Trust remains the hardest challenge. Convincing people to move life savings and corporates to shift billions is no small task.

- Latin America is having its Gold Rush moment. Talent is flooding in, and the ones building the rails will define the future.

- Stablecoins already settle more volume than Visa. the scale is real, not hypothetical.

- Regulation is coming fast, but LatAm has the chance to leapfrog by building use cases first, compliance second.

- The next wave of adoption won’t come from speculation—it’ll come from spending, saving, and payments that feel invisible.

- Interoperability is non-negotiable. Dozens of coins, issuers, on/off ramps. The future depends on these layers talking to each other.

- People want to make business, not only "good vibes" projects.
