@Chching_@Infilong@levelsio The difference is so big. For example, my girlfriend is a UI designer in Wuhan working for some small companies (~4k CNY per month).
So based on where you live and what you do, it’s an easy 10x difference. But living costs differ dramatically too.
So the general monthly wage for a programmer in big cities is around 20-40k CNY, it’s much lower in smaller cities and for other professions.
$300 per night is so expensive in China if you earn CNY. I guess the price stays cheap because we don’t have many dollar-earning foreigners here rn like Thailand, which pushes up the prices 😝
Met a successful entrepreneur, they’ve exited in tens of millions of dollars, they’ve raised 100M from sequoia, and they helped me proved one thing.
Those who constantly talking in absolute certainties are probably the ones that haven’t built anything themselves.

One of the biggest red flag of a company is when a manager said “you need to appreciate the opportunity we give you”.
No you don’t need to.
I’ve experienced two of them now.
We’ll make sure this kind of toxic work culture doesn’t happen @montaqlabs
Just hosted the first Polkadot meetup in Wuhan, with the support from Polkadot Roots! ❤️
All of the attendees are not from Web3, but they produced valuable insights for us on how to build problem-solving applications with @Polkadot for the APAC region @PolkadotAPAC
We hosted a Roots x MontaQ Labs x @Polkadot meetup in Wuhan 🇨🇳 this week , packed with discussions, live questions, and new local connections.
Here’s what went down 🧵

I knew I have definitely burnt out when I screamed to @cursor_ai for ~10 minutes asking why my convert function from Planck to DOT was not working as expected. I even started to wonder if there are some secret JS float operation that I was not aware of :)
We got some interesting questions from the Polkadot Forum:
https://t.co/ihTqmfD2zf
One of them is: “Is the fee token customizable?”
Currently, you cannot customize it. But it is a really good suggestion. It has some technical intricacies though, working on the feature now!
Cards? Nah.

🌐 What an incredible evening at the MontaQ Labs x @weareWeb3Mumbai We brought the @Polkadot community together for learning, fun, and connection. Here’s the recap: 🧵
@harbour_ind_cap@__dakine Hey Mr.Rebol, we met briefly at Consensus HK this year. We have built a QR-based payment app for Asset Hub assets. I just sent a pitch/demo request on HIC’s website, really like this new VC-style approach for Polkadot projects. Thanks for the opportunity!
One of the big problems in @Polkadot eco is that people love to talk about philosophical alignment instead of actually building products that user wants.
I love philosophical debate, but just like everything, you need to control the dose. More build, less talk.
I have a serious questions regarding the current state of UI/UX design. Are we overly obsessed with it and made it functionally less efficient?
If some candidate showed up to an interview with a Figma design similar to the Netflix homepage now, would he/she get hired?
