@jjoshin_@gnostish@BrandonRTalks@kingsleu1 Technically there are options like funkwhale which lets you host your own media collection and then stream it on other devices while federating with other people using the service to listen to their collection. Technically costs money to host though.
@NicESpurling How come it is always white men fighting "for the women and children" against non-cis people? Almost like this isn't actually a problem for the supposedly affected groups 🤔
@Krushern Most modern CPUs can also emulate a software TPM. It's just a modern security feature in computers. Windows 11 requires a TPM to install it too, for example.
@ZiggyDStarcraft@Sikoacc@xChrisperryx I thought they're mostly 2d because of relatively few people doing delve and the high demand as it is needed for a challenge? Are the boots you get at the end actually useful?
@Avalam_183@lolcohol Because a bunch of people play that way, or even more extreme, they have to balance with that in mind. If the rarity was balanced around a 5h a week player being able to easily find it the market would be flooded with the item by people who can play more. Either time or currency.
@TheTanelChannel@PathofMatth Crypto is even more of a gamble though? With real money trading it usually moves a bit slower, while in crypto all it takes is one rug-pull transaction which can go through in minutes depending on the network.
@temptempholder@duolingo@elonmusk RE 2: alternatives include, but are not limited to, Mastodon, Pleroma, or anything else based on ActivityPub. They're all free, decentralized (no central authority capable of silencing a single user), and for a regular user they work just like Twitter.
@temptempholder@duolingo@elonmusk Alright, I don't know if you actually want a response to this but:
RE 3: 'freedom of speech' means nothing on Twitter. Free speech does not protect people with shit takes from being silenced on a privately owned platform but from the government trying to silence someone.
@rbarbosatoro @respectbroccoli @Wrecker_of_days@pathofexile Their value is in the quant and rarity boost they provide to the mob they possess now. Nobody really cares about some extra rares, but they play into other strats.
@izeanthregia @TheFutureIsFred@shoe0nhead Oh that's wild. Over here the town (or state) even subsidizes access to public pools so access is nearly free while being able to properly maintain them.
@izeanthregia @TheFutureIsFred@shoe0nhead Is it common for pools to be privately owned in the US? Over here most (not counting the ones making the bulk of their money from slides) are publicly owned and managed by the cities.
@Hewhoishere@R1BM1@Snabblie @ghettoh0odcom @shoe0nhead It's the same idea as not wearing street shoes in a gymnasium. Of course people can be dirty themselves, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't strive towards more hygiene. I mean you wouldn't go swimming with underpants either, would you?
@Hewhoishere@R1BM1@Snabblie @ghettoh0odcom @shoe0nhead It doesn't just protect the filters. Who knows for how long they have worn that shirt outside of the water and potentially got it dirty with e.g. Ketchup or whatever. Once they get in the water that stuff is happily floating about, waiting to get into someone else's hair.
