The Baloch National Movement (BNM) will hold a three-day political and diplomatic campaign in Geneva from 24 to 26 September 2026, on the occasion of the 63rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, under the title “Chairman Zubair Baloch: A Legacy of Resistance.” The campaign is dedicated to the first death anniversary of BNM’s martyred leader, Chairman Zubair Baloch. On the night of 24 September 2025, the Pakistan Army attacked his residence and killed Chairman Zubair Baloch along with his associate, Nisar Baloch.

The Killing of Dr. Nokaap, a Healer and Teacher of Baloch Refugees, Is a War Crime: BNM Chairman
Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, has described the killing of Dr. Abdul Rasheed, alias Nokaap Baloch, a long-standing party colleague and member of the BNM Central Committee, as a national tragedy. He said that armed agents of the Pakistani state and military, murdered him, while posing as a patient, went to the residence of the senior party leader, a hardworking man, doctor and teacher who had been living in exile in Iranian-administered Balochistan.
Dr. Nokaap’s killing is the killing of a political activist, physician and educator who devoted his entire life to the cause of Baloch national freedom, serving humanity and spreading the light of knowledge. His death is an irreparable loss for the BNM, supporters of the Baloch national movement, and Baloch refugees, for whom he was a source of hope, medical care and education.
Martyr Dr. Abdul Rasheed, alias Nokaap, was born in the house of Waja Ghulam Hussain in Gandachai, Kolwah. From childhood, he was deeply committed to social service. In his youth, both politics and social service became integral parts of his life.
There were government schools in his village and nearby villages in Kolwah, but there were no teachers. He arranged a teacher for his village through self-help initiatives and personally taught children voluntarily for years in the nearby village of Kanechi. At the same time, having completed his medical education, he provided free medical treatment to people in the area. He was among the early members of the party in the Kolwah region.
After working at the unit level, he became Vice President of the Gishkaur Zone in 2010 and President in 2012. Following the formation of new zones that same year, he was elected President of the Gandachai Zone. In 2022, he was elected a member of the BNM Central Committee during the party’s Central Council session.
Dr. Nokaap was a long-standing, ideological and deeply committed colleague of the Baloch National Movement. He remained unwaveringly committed to the party programme and the objective of national freedom, and continued to fulfil his organisational responsibilities with steadfastness through every difficult period.
He began his political and organisational journey at the grassroots level and, through his ability, integrity, hard work and ideological perseverance, went on to serve in various positions of responsibility. At the 2022 Central Council session, he was elected to the BNM Central Committee, a position he continued to hold while carrying out his national and organisational responsibilities until his assassination.
Dr. Naseem Baloch said that because of Dr. Nokaap’s active political involvement and public role in Kolwah, the Pakistani military repeatedly subjected him to reprisals. His house was bulldozed, his property was looted, and repeated attempts were made to kill him, although he managed to survive. The destruction of his home and the insecurity prevailing in the area eventually forced him to migrate to Western Balochistan.
However, forced displacement, continuous pursuit and personal losses could neither break his resolve nor separate him from the national struggle and his commitment to serving the people.
Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch said that after reaching Western Balochistan, Dr. Nokaap chose as his centre of service not the cities but remote and deprived areas where Baloch refugees affected by war and state repression were living in extremely difficult conditions.
He provided free medical treatment to these refugees and local residents and offered whatever medical assistance he could to patients in need. Dr. Nokaap was not only a healer who treated people’s wounds but also an educator who shared knowledge. He began teaching refugee and local children free of charge, lighting two lamps of medicine and education amid the darkness of deprivation.
Despite having lost his own home, he became a source of support for the homeless and never allowed his own suffering to stand in the way of serving others.
The Baloch National Movement will always remember Dr. Nokaap’s national, organisational, medical and educational services with honour and respect. His killing is not merely an incident aimed at silencing an individual; rather, it is a continuation of a systematic policy of depriving Baloch society of its talented and dedicated political activists, physicians, educators and humanitarian figures.
The BNM calls upon international human rights organisations and responsible global powers to take serious notice of the killing of Dr. Nokaap, the pursuit of Baloch political activists across borders, and the systematic actions being carried out against them.
Dr. Nokaap’s commitment, character and selfless service will always remain a guiding light for party workers, and his mission will live on in the struggle for Baloch national freedom.

Paank strongly condemns the extrajudicial killing of Yahya Abdul Wahid and Halil Sayad, who were forcibly disappeared on 5 July 2026 from Halil Sayad’s house in Hub Chowki, #Balochistan, and subsequently killed by Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi on 18th September 2026. Yahya was previously forcibly disappeared on September 9, 2025. Then was released in May 2026.
Yahya Abdul Wahid, aged 23, and Halil Sayad, aged 28, remained forcibly disappeared for more than two months before the CTD presented their deaths as the result of an armed operation in Manghopir, Karachi. The CTD claimed that the two men belonged to the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and stated that a Kalashnikov and a pistol were recovered from them.
Paank categorically rejects the CTD’s account. Yahya Wahid Marri and Halil Sayad had already been forcibly disappeared on 5 July 2026 and were in custody before their deaths. Their subsequent killing and presentation as individuals killed during an armed encounter constitute a fake encounter and extrajudicial execution.
The case demonstrates the deadly consequences of enforced disappearance. Individuals are taken outside the protection of the law, their whereabouts are concealed from their families, and they are denied access to lawyers, courts and due process. Killing forcibly disappeared persons and subsequently presenting their deaths as the result of security operations represents a grave violation of the right to life and an attempt to conceal the circumstances of their detention and deaths.
No accusation of membership in an armed or banned organization can justify enforced disappearance, secret detention or execution without trial. Where authorities possess evidence that an individual has committed an offence, they are required to arrest that person in accordance with the law, promptly produce them before a competent court, provide access to legal counsel and ensure a fair judicial process. Security agencies cannot replace courts with secret detention and extrajudicial execution.
Paank demands an immediate, independent, impartial and transparent investigation into the enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killing of Yahya Wahid Marri and Halil Sayad.
Those responsible for their enforced disappearance and killing must be identified and brought before a competent civilian court in proceedings that meet international fair-trial standards. The families must be provided with complete information concerning the detention and deaths of their loved ones, including post-mortem and other relevant documentation.
Paank calls upon the United Nations, Amnesty International and other international human-rights organizations to urgently take notice of the extrajudicial killing of Yahya Wahid Marri and Halil Sayad, seek accountability from the Pakistani authorities and press for concrete measures to end enforced disappearances and extrajudicial executions.
The families of Yahya Wahid Marri and Halil Sayad have an absolute right to truth, justice, accountability and effective remedies. Their disappearance and deaths must not be buried beneath a counter-terrorism narrative.
Paank unequivocally condemns the enforced disappearance and extrajudicial killing of Yahya Wahid Marri and Halil Sayad. Enforced disappearance must never become a pathway to secret detention and execution. Every forcibly disappeared person must be produced before a court, and those responsible for enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings must be held accountable through due process of law.
Hamid Ali Baloch’s Membership Terminated for Repeated Violations of Organizational Discipline: BNM Spokesperson

The membership of Hamid Ali Baloch, who is residing in the United Kingdom, has been terminated from the Baloch National Movement (BNM) due to repeated violations of organizational discipline, statements made against the party on social media platforms, and his failure to accept accountability for his undisciplined conduct.
In a statement issued to the media in this regard, the spokesperson for the Baloch National Movement (BNM) said that Hamid Ali Baloch applied for party membership after arriving in the United Kingdom. He was granted membership after fulfilling the membership requirements stipulated in the party’s Constitution and taking an oath of loyalty to the party. On the basis of his party membership, BNM also supported him in seeking political asylum in the United Kingdom and submitted a request to the British government for the granting of political asylum to him.
However, the said member violated the party’s organizational discipline deliberately, in breach of his oath of loyalty, and on multiple occasions damaged the reputation of the party through statements made on social media.
In view of his continued irresponsible and undisciplined conduct, his party membership is hereby terminated with immediate effect. Following this decision, he is no longer authorized to use the name, identity, organizational position, or affiliation of the BNM in any capacity as a member, representative, or otherwise.
Any statement issued by Hamid Ali Baloch or any activity undertaken by him shall be considered his personal action, for which the Baloch National Movement shall bear no responsibility.
All party institutions, units, members, and relevant departments are hereby informed of this decision and instructed not to maintain any organizational communication with Hamid Ali Baloch concerning party affairs.
PAANK expresses grave concern over the enforced disappearance of 20-year-old Fahad Anwar, son of Anwar, a resident of Mullahi Bazar, Turbat.
Fahad, a student who also works as a teller at a cloth-sewing shop in Turbat, was forcibly taken from his home at around 1:00 a.m. on the night of 19 August 2026.
His family has the right to know his fate and whereabouts.
PAANK urges relevant authorities to investigate this case and end the practice of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
Martyr Dr. Abdul Rasheed, alias Nokaap, was born in the house of Waja Ghulam Hussain in Gandachai, Kolwah. From childhood, he was deeply committed to social service. In his youth, both politics and social service became integral parts of his life.
On 10 September, at around 10pm, Pakistani forces opened fire on a wedding house in Killi Yar Mohammad Sonaro, Wadh, Khuzdar.
Four civilians were killed and several injured, including women and seven-year-old Shahzaib.
From Wadh to Surab, Mastung, Kalat, Makuran and Noshki, Baloch civilians are being targeted through bullets, drones, helicopters and fighter jets.
Pakistan may use force to maintain its occupation, but history is clear: nations are not silenced by bullets. Every act of repression will strengthen the Baloch struggle for freedom.
