Yes, they are seeking attention, but I do not believe that, in the vast majority of cases, that it comes from a sense of entitlement or snowflakery, or any of the other negative connotations associated with “attention seeking”.
When I was the age that most of these girls ->
TikTok has created a generation of young women who cut off their breasts and identity as men, all in the name of seeking validation, likes and engagement.

@Geegeethree3@jk_rowling They’re not being punished for anything.
Regardless of how they feel about it, they’re men. Men don’t belong in women’s spaces.
@uncleboss143581@MyaView2@realMaalouf who killed him is a savage. My perception of Muslims (African or otherwise), based on this post, remains completely unchanged.
@uncleboss143581@MyaView2@realMaalouf The man was from Rwanda, as stated.
He was trusted in caring for the church, which is not a job giving to, or sought by Muslims.
He set fire to the church, and the priest took him in anyway.
I am left with the perception that the priest was an idiot, and that the man ->
@kingadetunji_@CrimewatchTO People do not jiggle doorknobs to see if a random door is locked or unlocked, if they are just innocently selling something.
People aren’t being ignorant. There are clear and obvious differences between suspicious or criminal behaviour and normal behaviour. Hers is not normal.
@Cpt_RDubya@mario4thenorth Nah, they were white, therefore war and famine don’t matter because they’re still privileged. At least, that’s what I was told when I pointed out the potato famine and highland clearances 🤷♀️
@peakay81@jk_rowling Transwomen are men, so no, I do not want them to enjoy the safety of women only spaces. Those spaces are for women only.
They can navigate male spaces, like all the other males.
If they are that scared of their own, there are unisex and/or accessible spaces they can use.
@MustardClem@cselley If they’re past the point of no return, back isn’t an option. If America won’t let them land, Montreal is the only alternative close enough that was capable of taking the flight.
@FTPager@Jenny_541672913@C_3C_3 If she took the role, she’s also part of the problem. She either agrees with it enough to take a part she shouldn’t, or doesn’t have the integrity to reject a role she knows she’s wrong for.
@millennials4_wp would get just as much backlash for doing that. For them, it’s kind of a no-win situation. If everyone is going to be mad at them anyway, they may as well pick the option that costs them the least.
Just in case it needs to be said, I’m not defending them.
@millennials4_wp allow it because they bring in a tonne of money with almost no added stress on public services like schools and hospitals.
It’s shitty, and the larger companies can certainly afford to build elsewhere, but to do it, they’d have to destroy a large area of nature, and they ->
@WolfmanJack892@HHalliday73@IsabellaMDeLuca He knew he couldn’t drive that truck.
He admitted he wasn’t qualified.
Yes, lax rules in the provinces allowed him to get the license. That doesn’t change the fact that he chose to do something he knew he could not do.
It is his choice that makes the difference.
@WolfmanJack892@HHalliday73@IsabellaMDeLuca Knowing he was unqualified to do the job, that he didn’t know how to drive the truck, and then choosing to do it anyway, isn’t an accident. It’s negligence.
@WolfmanJack892@HHalliday73@IsabellaMDeLuca It’s terrible for the kid, I agree, but it’s not a good reason to be lenient or make exceptions for him, and doing so is an insult to the families of the victims of the crash.
Like I said, if the crash had been an accident, my opinion would probably be different.
@WolfmanJack892@HHalliday73@IsabellaMDeLuca He didn’t make a mistake, it wasn’t an accident, it was wilful negligence. He had no experience and took a job he knew he lacked the skills to do, and ended up killing 16 people.
Were it an actual accident, the exception might be reasonable.
@WolfmanJack892@HHalliday73@IsabellaMDeLuca Immigration law says deport. In this case, immigration law is correct.
His kid isn’t a compelling reason for special treatment. Neither is his mental health.
