What an honour it is to be part of these OHCA survivors’ recovery. Each of them such an inspiration. Loved our ICU Patient and Family Day. Thank you to all involved including @WeAreSCAUK 🫀 #OHCA#cardiacarrest@BartsHeartOT@BartsHAC
Recently St Bart's hospital AHP's ran a patient & family day, hosted by @BartsGuild. Patients & their relatives/friends were invited back to discuss their time in Intensive Care. A great example of how we strive at Barts to involve service users in improving care for all.
Even if the patient is awake and appears alert, don't let that be a barrier to creating an #ICUdiary. They may be experiencing a distorted reality driven by visual and auditory hallucinations.
