Very excited to share this new serverless pattern that I have published with my brother @MohamadSoufan4 to ServerlessLand
This is the only automated CDK pattern on the internet that will provision all necessary resources to deploy DocumentDB CDC stream

Very excited to share this new serverless & functionless pattern that I have developed with my twin brother @MohamadSoufan4
This pattern focuses on distributing different events to multiple destinations using DDB Stream, EventPipes, ApiGateway & IoT core

This is definitely a game changer!
After all the custom scheduling solutions that I built, AWS finally decides to offer us a managed solution with EventBridge service

@mikepb78@ednergizer@houlihan_rick@JonNicholsMe@jeremy_daly@alexbdebrie For sure. But they are not offering that for single table design without lambda resolver. I have many lambdas that are transporting data instead of transforming because AppSync does not support SingleTableDesign resolvers. I am paying AWS extra for very minimal value
@alexbdebrie@edelman215@houlihan_rick@NubPro @aeduhm @richdevelops I have recently experienced this in one of my project. Honestly, sometimes it is easier to normalize your GraphQL types in your schema. It makes mapping your schema into the single table much smoother
@swaranga@houlihan_rick Also, I always find it useful to have one required field on every single item called “entityType”. It is makes the query output more readable
@swaranga@houlihan_rick You don’t need to look at the console to query the table. Just create the magic Excel sheet that Rick always uses. It should contain all your access patterns and you no longer need to scan any tables to understand what the tables contain
@mikepb78@ednergizer@houlihan_rick@JonNicholsMe@jeremy_daly Also, it decouples your micro-services perfectly. Multi table or single table, it does not make a big difference. What make a difference is to be able to apply the single table design patterns that @houlihan_rick and @alexbdebrie have defined and persisted in the Dynamo community
Want to allow item-level access to a DynamoDB table based on an Amazon Cognito ID? Check out this AWS Identity & Access Management policy: https://t.co/YCgZTw1uQx #NoSQL
@aeduhm Last weekend, I worked on a new Lambda project using the NodeJsFunction construct and bundled it with esbuild. I also developed all my code using the Hexagonal architecture that Luca Mezzalira talked about at reinvent.
Future is definitely looking serverless😎
@zaccharles I had the same concerns with using SES SDK through StepFunction and CDK. CDK does not support any SES actions and you have to use the generic AwsService option.
@tpschmidt_ Five points:
1. It is open source
2. You can choose you preferred language. No need to learn a new one
3. You can use general programming principals like if-statement and for-loops
4. You can test your code with unit tests
5. Create your custom CDK package
