Deeply spiritual and influenced by the values of the Ramakrishna Mission, Chandranath Rath was known for his calm demeanor and compassionate nature. Those who knew him describe a man who believed in peace, restraint, and service before self.

He carried a message urging BJP workers to remain peaceful and avoid violence.

Tragically, he lost his life in a brutal shooting in North 24 Parganas.

His death is not just a political loss, but a reminder of how fragile peace and democratic harmony can become when violence enters public life.
