I don't really care that much about the problems with The Amazing Digital Circus because literally everything wrong with the show, inside and out, can be diagnosed under "this is someone's first really big project" and I think that's okay
@ArborusVitae@tsukideko They are "interfering" only to the extent that enemies being present in an area are "interfering" with your goal of walking from point A to B. They are an obstacle intentionally placed (or allowed to be present) by the developers for the player to overcome in pursuit of the goal
Reminder that this entire Glitch/Gooseworx situation started because one of the voice actors laughed at a Joke 7 years ago that was like a 1 out of 10 on the Edgy scale.
That's it.
That's literally all that happened.
These people are insane and should not be welcome anywhere.
SECONDED!!!
It's impossible to create something universally beloved. But if you put your heart into it, you will always create something that means something to someone, even if it's just you!
I dont care how “bad” or “cringe” an indie animation can be, I want animation to succeed. I want to see more projects exist. More animation will always be a good thing. Fund and support artists, I don’t really care if its perfect or not.
Ok so I'm putting down a filter. You cannot claim to be in a so called Gameoverse 'fandom' until you solve all my riddles by beating my Super Mario Maker 2 world. If you don't you are a larper.

i know it's discouraging to see constant discourse online as a creator but please don't give up on your projects!
you'll find your people and your audience and it makes everything worth it
Nobody likes anything anymore, it’s really annoying
Authenticity is dead and it’s been replaced with the need to criticize everything for internet points, that’s why the “ironic” fanbases for shit like rocket monkeys pop up, dudes wanna like stuff, but it’s not cool to do so
i think a lot of indie animation discourse wouldnt exist if people instead watched stuff that actually appealed to their interests instead of watching something in order to be in the fandom for it
i feel like stirring the pot today so what if i say calling characters with big busts and wide hips "goonbait" is rooted in the same misogyny that asks "what were you wearing when they catcalled you"
@willxcore@SteamFrameOut Also, you can set a generic layout for the controller whenever it's in "desktop mode" (AKA whenever you don't actively have any game running through steam) and it will just work that way automatically too
@willxcore@SteamFrameOut A majority of its unique features like gyro and the touch pads are linked directly with steam input which only applies to games that are run through steam. However, you can get around this by just manually adding whatever games you want that you already have to steam yourself
@valvesoftware PLEASE have something in place to prevent the scalpers from breaking the purchase system for everyone else so this doesn't happen again.
