Russia launched this war on the Ukrainian front, but its goal is not only Ukraine or our country's independence.

This is why it is critical to maintain the maximum consolidation of the free world and do everything possible and impossible to ensure Ukraine's ability to inflict defeats on Russia. This is the only language Moscow understands.

Today, Defense Minister Umerov, Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi, Military Intelligence Head Budanov, and Security Service Head Maliuk delivered their reports regarding the aircraft and prisoner exchange.

It is clear that the Russians are playing with the lives of Ukrainian prisoners of war, the feelings of their relatives, and the emotions of our society.

All facts must be established. As much as possible, given that the aircraft crashed in Russian territory that is beyond our control.

Right now, the key word is facts. I received reports from the Commander-in-Chief and General Staff on the use of our air force. Military Intelligence is clarifying the fate of all prisoners of war. Security Service investigates all circumstances. I also instructed Ukraine’s Foreign Minister to inform partners based on the information available to Ukraine.

Our state will insist on an international investigation.

Next week will see more international work, including those with our EU partners. We will increase activity.

This is also true for security commitments from partners. We are putting together new, strong bilateral agreements. January and February must produce more results in this area.

We can already see specific dates when such new and powerful documents may be signed. I am grateful to our entire team that participates in the relevant negotiations, as well as all leaders and nations that are prepared to take truly ambitious steps.

By developing such a new security commitment architecture, we are effectively reanimating the system of international law. And when justice and security are restored in Ukraine, this will also work for the rest of the world.

We are also working with key partners on specific military aid packages that will be delivered right now, in the coming weeks and months.

I thank all of Ukraine's friends around the world who understand that the battlefield cannot simply wait and that life-saving efforts cannot be postponed, as well as those who work to expedite decisions that are needed right now.

Switzerland provides Ukraine with not only humanitarian aid but also long-term financial assistance, political support, and sanctions. Today, we discussed a new long-term support program.

I am grateful to President @Violapamherd for agreeing that our teams will begin joint work tomorrow on preparations for the Global Peace Summit at the level of leaders in Switzerland.

This summit should provide the momentum for what we've already accomplished. It should also state that the conclusion of the war can only be just, and that the restoration of international law's force must be truly comprehensive.

Switzerland is our partner in these endavors.
