The Malmberg Lab studies the functional regulation of natural killer (NK) cells and seeks to employ new insights in NK cell biology in cancer immunotherapy
Please check out our paper published in @NatureMedicine on our Phase I trial of AFM13-precomplexed cord blood NK cells in relapsed/refractory CD30+ lymphomas. Led by Dr. Yago Nieto and an outstanding team of coauthors and collaborators, this study marks the first clinical demonstration of NK cell redirection using a bispecific engager. We report an ORR of 92.9% and CR of 66.7% in 42 patients with a median of 7 prior therapies and show that this approach is safe and may serve as a bridge to SCT. Excited to move forward with our next generation engineered NK cells in combination with engagers and mAbs. #CancerResearch #Immunotherapy #NKcells @MDAndersonNews
Incredibly impressing ongoing work in the UK NK community. Thanks for the invitation @mjwsim. Looking forward to discussing more NK and KIR work in the coming days and to the yearly double 🎾 with @DrFran_Colucci
Wow. What an amazing day. So great to see so much great science about my favourite immune cells. Thanks to everyone who came and especially @MalmbergLab for a stellar keynote.
We have an open 2-year postdoc position focusing on computational approaches to identify antigen-specific immune receptors from adaptive immune repertoire data. Application deadline: Nov 6. https://t.co/cyIvlclfeU

Very important and much needed funding to establish ATMP Norway, a multi-nodal national infrastructure for cell and gene therapy. Building on investments in GMP laboratories at @Oslounivsykehus and Haukeland University Hospital and a partnership with @UniOslo_MED.
Vi er svært glade for tildelingene fra @forskningsradet i dag, som bla. gir midler til å forsette å jobber med celle-genterapi, samt til forprosjekt for protonterapi.

Congrats @DanielPal88. Understanding the migratory behavior of NK cells is critical to overcome one of the major bottlenecks in the field: to make NK cells home to solid tumors. The inhibitory GPR56 axis is one piece of the puzzle.
Finally it's out and I can share with you all the collaborative effort done to produce this paper! Big thanks to @MalmbergLab and all the people who put so much effort into this. https://t.co/MONEeXusTw
Exciting work by @AmirHorowitz and team! Congrats to all.

Thanks for this nice and thoughtful commentary of our work. We hope this approach will make a difference in the allogeneic cell therapy space for both T and NK cell based therapies.
Excited to share our commentary on a recent very elegant paper by @MalmbergLab@QuirinHammer and colleagues. A one-way street recognition approach to mediate allogeneic immune cel... https://t.co/R2z8048amJ
Malmberg and colleagues provide a single-cell transcriptional reference map of healthy human NK cells and use this profile of tumor infiltrating NK cells. Read it here: https://t.co/3lDrHpr1I6

Taken together, in this study in @CellStemCell, we demonstrate that modulating the immune synapse can be a promising strategy to avert rejection by the host and hopefully further unlock 🔓 the potential of next-generation allogeneic #Immunotherapy against #cancer
