@SeventhPhilven@basedseattle@MerriamWebster Brits aren't really metric though thats more like the French. For some reason many Yanks have a delusional belief that they created their bastardised version of the British system of measurements, which is far inferior to the elegant metric system anyway.
@PintsDrank Dont know, i think preferably go in through that door, walk as far back as you can, until you reach the back of the pub, away from any windows, surrounded by lots of dark polished wood, and enjoy your pint in the dark :-)
@desmondd1984@joni_askola The biggest loss may be the longterm damage to US prestige in the region. The Emiratis, Kuwaitis and Saudis will have seen the limits to US committment to their defence, and may change tack diplomatically
@WoosterAdrian@RanTeeThree@danielanadj77 Rantyman is entirely correct, how the hell someone could not be aware of the ethnic divide in NI of all places is mind boggling. And yes religion, along with other parts of identity is big part of ethnicity, eg serbs, croats etc
@FractalDoctor@vintagemapstore It looks cool but i would query how accurate the info is. Each lighthouse has a distinct patterb for example tuskar rock at SE corner has x2 flashes every 7.5 seconds which is not shown here. In fact the timings on all of them appear 'regular'
@JohnSimpsonNews Why do you think so many journalists seem to passively adopt the PR jargon about pinpointed-surgical-precision strikes when 1000lb bombs are dropped in densely populated residential areas?
@dohville I do think we should, but it may be part of other options or investments. Am not expert but it is difficult to see why when starting from scratch today that unmanned aerial vehicles could not also be part of the solution
