I am a Chief Manager at the Indian Bank Zonal Office in Nagpur and I have been enduring relentless mental harassment and unprofessional surveillance by DZM Mr.Vijay Shankar Thakur for the past year.

This goes beyond bad management,it is a systematic destruction of employee well-being. We need more than promises, we need an immediate audit of grievance procedures and management conduct.

But when bankers face harassment, crushing workloads, forced transfers, mental stress, or even lose their lives, where is the national debate?

Where are the prime-time discussions?
Where are the independent studies?
Has any regulator conducted a comprehensive analysis of banker suicides, workplace stress, or transfer-related trauma?

Bankers kept branches running during COVID. We implement government schemes, handle public money, support businesses, and drive financial inclusion.

Yet many feel invisible.

Do bankers' lives matter only when targets are achieved?

Respect cannot be limited to speeches and slogans. It must include accountability, humane policies, and concern for the people behind the counters.
