Kindly provide 24G/26G (pink/brown) needle for giving Covishield vaccination.
Much better in terms of local pain and reaction. It will be good for senior citizens and kids whenever they are due for their dose.
The adult intubation card turned out to be quite popular - so a paediatric version of the safety card is being trialled, and is now hanging off our paeds transfer bags, ODPs & airway drs.
Letโs keep our brain free for the stuff which *needs* to be complicated.๐ง

How does calcium "stabilize the cardiac membrane" in hyperkalemia?
I learned early in my intern year to use calcium in the setting of severe hyperkalemia.
I never really learned how it works. The answer requires some history. And uncovers a forgotten alternative treatment.
