After sitting in the plane for more than 5 hours, his @easyJet flight 8085 was cancelled even though the later flight 8087 jumped the queue and departed. And we are told that no compensation is due as it was exception circumstances due to weather.

Waiting for our son to arrive in Athens from Gatwick on flight 8085. Due to depart 14.05 but delayed like several other flights. In plane waiting to leave.
Slightly later LGW-ATH flight 8087, due to leave 14.40, jumped the queue and already left. Why?
@KirstieMAllsopp@grahnort Greece doesn't. It tries in earnest but takes it too seriously, so misses out on the sarcastic sparkle of Wogan and Norton (ironically both non-Brits, by birth at least).

Can anyone give me an email address for @easyjet customer service/PR that will actually be read and be given a proper answer instead of simply spouting the company line and referring us to the app?
2 ground staff appeared at 10.10 to speak to affected @easyjet passengers, but were woefully underinformed and only able to give the company line (apologise, beyond our control, go to app for refund or to rebook). Seemed unaware that no flights offered til Tuesday until told.
