Why are you so stuck on being at other Christian’s throats over ideology? Even the Jews don’t believe that Jesus is Christ, but God still calls them his. He will take care of his church. Don’t you see the true enemies of God growing stronger everyday? False gods? The Bible being “misinterpreted”, the Jesus who never resurrected? Why fight amongst each other while enemies are at our gates?
@JulioTweeter@JoshuaBarzon Yeah it’s quite heart breaking truly. He went full blown Old Testament on them, completely ignoring the guiding and teachings of Jesus.
@farmingandJesus Mmm the spirit of the prophet. It’s really deep actually. His camel garments that never aged. The bones that brought a dead man back to life. I’ve heard limited teachings on the subject, but very interesting.
One of my favorite quotes from Ronald Reagan:
“Sometimes when I'm faced with an unbeliever, an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve and, when we finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook.” 🔥
"If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're gonna end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you'll end up purposeful. Purpose will give you happiness."
Great quote. RIP Charlie 🙏
“CATHOLICS WORSHIP MARY.”
If that were true, I would leave the Catholic Church today.
Because worship belongs to God alone.
The First Commandment is not optional.
“You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.” (Matthew 4:10)
So the question must be asked:
Do Catholics actually worship Mary?
The answer is simple:
No.
The Catholic Church has never taught that Mary is a goddess, a divine being, or equal to God.
In fact, Catholic teaching is completely clear:
“Religious worship is not directed to images in themselves… the honor paid to sacred images is a ‘respectful veneration,’ not the adoration due to God alone.” (CCC 2132)
This distinction is not a modern excuse.
It comes from the very heart of Christian worship.
Worship, known as latria, belongs to the Holy Trinity alone: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The saints receive honor, called dulia.
The Blessed Virgin Mary receives a unique honor, called hyperdulia, because she is the Mother of God incarnate.
Not because she is divine.
But because the Son she carried in her womb is divine.
That difference changes everything.
So why do Catholics ask Mary and the saints to pray for us?
Because death does not separate the members of Christ’s Body.
Jesus did not establish one Church on earth and abandon His faithful in heaven.
He established one united Body.
“He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” (Matthew 22:32)
The saints are not dead in Christ.
They are alive with Him.
Scripture repeatedly commands Christians to pray for one another:
“Pray for one another, that you may be healed.” (James 5:16)
If I can ask a Christian on earth to pray for me, why would I believe that those who are alive before God’s throne cannot pray for us?
The Book of Revelation reveals the worship of heaven:
“The twenty four elders fell before the Lamb, each holding… golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” (Revelation 5:8)
Again:
“The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God.” (Revelation 8:3–4)
Heaven is not silent.
Heaven is not disconnected.
The saints are united with the Church on earth through the communion of saints.
This is not a rival to Christ’s mediation.
It is participation in Christ’s grace.
Some point to 1 Timothy 2:5:
“There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
Amen. 🙏
@TheBillieMarie@DrFrankTurek That question implies that just because someone is Christian, and believes in Jesus, that they are set free. But that is not true. One must be born again.
@iam__Jezreel A lot of them are revealed inside the book of revelation.
5:8
8:3-4
Of course there are people within the faith that take it too far due to lack of knowledge and understanding. We’re called to pray for them lovingly, that they would surrender their unrighteousness to God.
