@SmallholdersUK We have in the past stored the best apples wrapped in newspaper in boxes in a cool area (checking regularly) and then stew and freeze rest of fruit. We also stew & freeze rhubarb, plums and gooseberries. See https://t.co/NiTizfpYtp for apple storing info.

@FarmersWeekly Thanks @FarmersWeekly for sharing all the harvesting pictures/videos - these invoke fond memories of watching the farmers working in the fields next door to my childhood home. Thanks also to all the farmers who work so hard in agriculture and horticulture.

@woolismybread That chicken is not hanging around... I can hear him thinking "Quick, let me through, I'm a chicken not a duck! " 🦆

@bassilexa It's certainly a fabulous year for dandelions!!

@SmallholdersUK On our allotment the top three are probably butternut squash, courgettes and potatoes. Good croppers and very versatile vegetables!

It’s #SantaPawsDay - the day all our dogs get to pick their Christmas gift! Sadly, we couldn’t fit them all in, but we hope the pure joy of the ones we did makes you smile!
To all our supporters and everyone who sent a gift, thank you! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas! 💛
