Rehmat, a Punjabi film by national-award winning director Gurvinder Singh, has won accolades at Swiss film festival, but remains ignored in Punjab.

Interestingly, Punjab government official Jaswant Singh Zafar has made his acting debut at age of 60 in Rehmat but the govt or Punjabi film industry is yet to acknowledge this thoughtful cinematic work, also featuring veteran Naseeruddin Shah.

Is Punjabi cinema all about those loud, flashy, cheap comedies?
