Sometimes, the most meaningful initiatives are born out of loss. HIAFEST, a schools festival celebrating and rewarding talented secondary school students in Nigeria, is one such example. Created in honor of our beloved mother, Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu (rahimahullah), the festival stands as a tribute to her legacy of kindness, education, and empowerment.

Over the years, HIAFEST has grown to become an event close to my heart. This past weekend, we proudly hosted the 7th edition, in Minna, Niger State—a celebration of not just talent but also the enduring values our mother cherished.

My father often says that the greatest gift he can give his children is the best education he can afford. It is with this same vision that we hope the awards, tokens, and gifts presented to these talented young men and women will inspire them to achieve greatness in their lives and careers.

As we continue to honor her legacy, we remain hopeful that HIAFEST will leave a lasting impact on these students, helping them realize their potential and pursue their dreams.
