@AnthonyJ2019 I think that a large disparity between the richest and the poorest is a byproduct of the way society runs. What's more noteworthy to me, however, is that the majority of people are middle class, which shows that the economic balance of society isn't too one-sided.

@gorillatitan22 I'm not sure. Although hearing about findings like this is always cool, I don't think they are in any way beneficial to society, welfare, or daily life other than maybe supplying a few more jobs. In my opinion, the large amount of money spent in this field is not always worth it.

@AnthonyJ2019 Right now, I think there is a clear leader in coverage nationwide, and that is Verizon. This merger will probably close the gap between Verizon and T-Mobile. As for monopolization, I'm not sure. I don't think it would be too detrimental to a healthy phone contract market

@gorillatitan22 I think endangered species are already somewhat of a priority, just not in all places. Awareness about the consequences of neglecting endangered species and letting them be exploited in places like Western Africa must grow

@_over_thinker__ Personally, I would not want to go to a theater where close captioning was used. For me, closed captioning distracts me from the action in the movie and spoils the feeling of being a part of the movie and the plot, and I would be unwilling to watch movies w/ subtitles at theaters

@A_bar_of_clay I think that taking them off the shelves would be an overreaction, but raising some public awareness about this E.coli outbreak would be beneficial. For example, my mom didn’t know about this at all until I told her. Maybe putting up signs in grocery sections would help

@generic__names I don’t think there is a certain price mark that will see a significant number of people dropping Prime. I think Amazon is looking to push the limits and creep the price up as much as they can before a noticeable drop in membership manifests.

@generic__names I agree. However, I also think that parents should be more careful trusting their kids with driving even if they have gotten a drivers license. I’ve had too many experiences both at Carrillo and outside with impatient, bad teenage drivers to think otherwise

@mchsConnorO If it was due to cost and if the family could not pay, it definitely wasn’t the moral thing to do but was the practical thing to do. If keeping patients on life support for extended periods was normalized, hospitals would face mounting costs and shortage of beds.

@generic__names It’s kind of hard to decipher the situation without inside information, but I think there are 2 possibilities: 1. There is an ulterior motive. 2. NK is struggling because of all the sanctions etc and is now desperate for help so they have abandoned hostility.

@mchsConnorO Obviously Coke's primary goal in selling products = profit, but it's not like they are outright lying in their mission statement. Why can't they be classified as focusing on both? Profit is important for any company, but social purposes can also be at the root of company ideology

@itssobadforyou I think it's both skill and luck. When it comes to pro sports, you have to be insanely talented and athletic to have a chance at pulling off stunts like this. However, I think the fact that he was able to do this was also luck bc even though he may have the talent, more is reqd

@laurenmcookie The MeToo movement made people realize that popular figures like Cosby, Weinstein etc could actually be guilty. I think that before MeToo, trials and hearings might have taken place but not enough people took it seriously or actually believed the accuser against a popular figure

@Alexandra_T1GER @NBCNews I think in today's times, Ford is known primarily for (and wants to be known primarily for) its trucks. I don't think it's as much of a shift in broad public needs as what Ford advertises, because companies like Toyota, Honda etc all have passenger cars selling.

@biscuitlover17 It sure looks to be legitimate, but it's kind of hard to trust him given his history. For all we know he could be playing us before announcing the beginning of WW3 tomorrow; he's just historically been that kind of guy.

@Alexandra_T1GER I don't see any issues with growing a brain as a crazy lab science experiment, but I'm not sure if it can be classified as a person. It's an interesting debate, however: what constitutes a person? Physical human qualities or mental human capabilities?

@FailingLang @BBC_Future From an economic standpoint: Yes! Imagine the crowds this would bring. Come see the sabertooth tiger for only $1000! From a moral standpoint: No. Cloning itself has moral debates surrounding it, but placing clones in captivity would definitely be very morally controversial.

@bananapaper3 I definitely think there are people who know where undisclosed graves are. Given that this genocide was just 24 years ago, it hasn't been long enough for the locations of the graves to be forgotten through generations or something.
