Jeffries opposes M4A despite 90% Dem support, 114k lives & $1 trillion saved each year.
Sirota decries lack of primary opponent & Dem betrayal - not mentioning DSA leadership pressed Jeffries' challenger to withdraw.
DSA won't save us from the Democratic Party.
It is the Democratic Party.

"What radicalized you?"
I dunno man maybe it was all the wars based on lies or the corporate ecocide or the live-streamed genocide or the people sleeping on sidewalks while billionaires become trillionaires or the plundering of the global south or the mass surveillance or the police drones or the Israeli torture prisons or the IDF rape dogs or the starvation sanctions or the proxy wars or the acts of nuclear brinkmanship or the encircling of our planet with hundreds of US military bases or the CIA black sites or the Epstein files or the government secrecy or the increasing persecution of journalists and whistleblowers or the fact that the US just openly assassinates and kidnaps the leaders of sovereign nations or the internet censorship or the way all western media and all Silicon Valley tech platforms operate as propaganda services for the US empire or the aggressive push to outlaw pro-Palestine demonstrations or the legalized corruption of western governments or the way AI is being shoved down our throats while data centers choke our ecosystem or the thinly disguised rush to develop militarized robots for domestic use or the glaring plot holes in the official 9/11 story or the glaring plot holes in the official October 7 story or the complete impotence of electoral politics in an oligarchy where the rich get everything they want or the vanishing ice caps or the vanishing rainforests or the vanishing wildlife or the plummeting insect population or the ocean desertification or the giant continent of plastic in the North Atlantic or the microplastics in our brains and in our blood or the fact that we live under a globe-spanning empire that cannot exist without mass-scale violence and exploitation or the fact that younger generations are economically far worse off than their parents and grandparents or the fact that ordinary people are having to work harder and harder as everything gets more and more expensive while the capitalist class reaps record profits?
At this point "What radicalized you?" is a much less interesting question to ask people than "Why aren't you radicalized yet? Seriously, how is that possible? How have you successfully managed to avoid conversion to a radical political worldview despite everything you are seeing right in front of your eyes?"
Because to the rest of us, that shit looks like a goddamn magic trick. It looks like a superhuman feat of willpower to continue believing everything's basically okay and our leaders will sort this all out for us if we just vote for the correct plutocratic meat puppet in the next election. You're just chilling out while everything burns, like that Buddhist monk sitting calmly in meditation after setting himself on fire. How are you even doing that?
"Humans are a warring species."
This is stated as if it settles something.
It doesn't.
Humans are also a cooperating species. Humans built irrigation systems that required coordinated labor across generations. They developed writing to maintain complex trade relationships. They created legal codes, religious institutions, diplomatic protocols, all technologies for managing conflict without violence.
The anthropological record does not show a species defined by war.
It shows a species capable of war and cooperation in roughly equal measure, with the balance determined by specific material and political conditions rather than fixed biological destiny.
More precisely: the periods of most intense human violence correlate strongly with specific conditions, resource scarcity, state formation, colonial expansion, ideological competition between organized powers.
These are not expressions of human nature. They are expressions of specific social arrangements.
Calling humans a "warring species" does more than describe violence.
It turns violence into destiny.
It says: this is what we are, therefore this is what we must be, therefore the people trying to build something different are naive, therefore the people who accept the killing as inevitable are the realists.
That conclusion, that acceptance of violence is sophistication and resistance to it is naivety, serves specific interests.
It always has.
Capitalism doesn’t breed competition, it leads to monopolies, oligopolies & strategic alliances between corporations who conspire to bilk the public for as much money as possible. Capitalism is a race to the bottom to sell the worst possible product at the highest possible price.
🚨 The Bond Market Just Broke: Japan Dumps $26 Billion in Treasuries While America Is Buying Back Its Own Bonds
Today, the US Treasury admitted the long end of the bond market is broken. Nobody wanted the 10-year, 20-year, or 30-year debt. The 30-year yield just slammed into its highest level since 2007 (peaking near 5.33%).
So what did they do?
They announced they’re AT LEAST DOUBLING their liquidity buybacks of those exact long-term bonds, from a $2 billion max per operation to $4 billion+ starting September 9.
They’re literally borrowing short-term money to buy back their own long-term debt. Classic desperation move. Bond prices spiked, yields crashed 9-10 bps, and futures ripped higher the second the news dropped.
Meanwhile Japan, still the #1 foreign holder of US Treasuries is dumping them to fund currency interventions.
The BoJ and finance minister threatened of bold actions to save the yen. BoJ’s Yuto apologized for the measures being prepared.
June data just showed Japan cut holdings by another $26.4 billion (down to $1.117 trillion).
That follows the massive joint US-Japan yen-buying intervention in late July that burned tens of billions of dollars trying to stop the yen from hitting 40-year lows near 164. The yen has already given back more than half those gains and is back above 159.
When the biggest foreign buyer is selling Treasuries to defend its own currency… and the US government is forced to step in and buy its own unwanted long bonds… this isn’t “market support.” This is the system flashing red.
The famous City Of London banker @LordBelgrave had already warned about the planned debt, oil + currency financial crisis at the start of the year. It is now being executed.
Yields are the gravity of everything, your mortgage, stocks, crypto, gold. The can just got kicked harder and farther. Don’t look away.
"As for the reduction of the U.S.-ROK joint military drill abruptly announced by the U.S. president a few days ago, we regard it as the one unworthy of comment and have no interest in it at all."
Kim Yo Jong ,Department Director WPK Central Committee
The ignorance of US police is only matched by their unbelievable arrogance. They are truly some of the dumbest people on the planet. It's amazing we give them guns.
NATO is now claiming they are ready to formally enter the war against Iran if Iran targets military bases in Europe that is helping Trump wage his illegal war
NATO countries like the UK have been facilitating attacks on Iran.
This is the barbaric military alliance that the DSA NATO left supports while calling themselves anti war
Colombia has a new far-right multimillionaire president, Abelardo de la Espriella.
He is a US citizen who voted for Trump.
He wants Colombia to adopt the US dollar.
He worked for years as a lawyer in Miami, defending drug traffickers.
He also loves Israel.
Neocolonialism.
