To get an officer union registered in a bank we need to have 10 pc of total officers strength or 100 which ever is less membership to begin with.we want to form a new union in all 11 PSB because In PNB we already have AIPNBOF with 7500 membership.and to form a new apex union of officers we need to have 3 banks all India bank officers union affiliated with it .

Needed an urgent cheque book and there was a glitch in bank app also and lost my ATM yesterday and needed to apply for a home loan.. Today.. it was urgent.

Thank God SBI was open today on Sunday.
When I went , they went for the Lunch, though. So there's that too.

Dear Bankers!!

Banks that are posting against their own employees on social media may actually be doing the opposite of what they want. They are making more people notice the strike and ask why bankers are going on strike in the first place.

Today, I was travelling for some work and was sitting in the waiting area at the airport. A group of around 10–12 people was sitting behind me. I heard them talking about the bank strike.

What surprised me was that none of them were bankers but they were still talking about the problems faced by bankers.
They were showing each other the posts shared by banks on social media and discussing them.

One person said something that caught my attention:
“If banks treat their own employees like this..then tomorrow, if customers are not beneficial to the bank or if they don’t get good business and enough interest from them..will they treat those customers in the same way?”

Another person even said, “The situation shown in those AI-generated videos shared by the banks doesn’t even look like reality. These days..people use digital payments even to buy vegetables. So why create such a picture?”

Why ICICI and HDFC are not participating in Bank strike?
SBI will open on Sunday, but closed on Monday to Wednesday.
Whereas, ICICI and HDFC be closed on Sunday and open for the week.

The fight for Five-Day Banking must not be seen merely as a struggle for implementation of an agreement that has remained pending for more than 30 months. This is a fight for our existence, our dignity, our families and our fundamental right to a humane working life.

Public Sector Bank employees serve far more customers than our private-sector counterparts. Even with private banks accounting for a substantial share of the banking market, it is overwhelmingly the Public Sector Banks and their employees who carry the burden of Government-sponsored schemes, financial inclusion, social-sector banking and the last-mile delivery of public policy.

We work for institutions owned by the people and for a Government that expects us to reach every citizen. We have never shied away from that responsibility. But those who expect us to serve the nation must also recognise one simple truth:

We are not robots. We are not machines. We are not AI tools. We are human beings.

We have families waiting for us, children who need our time, parents who need our care, and lives beyond targets, reviews, late-night meetings and relentless workplace pressure.

We are not asking for privilege. We are asking for dignity, balance and justice.

The growing culture of excessive working hours, constant pressure and an increasingly toxic work environment cannot become the new normal. Five-Day Banking is one important step towards restoring humanity to our workplaces.

Save the banker. Save the banking family. Respect the commitment already made.

Five-Day Banking is not a luxury.

We are a country that doesn't believe in actual work, we believe in hours of work

Almost all the banking work is done online in Tier 1-2 cities. I don't even remember when was the last time I visited a Bank.

Ideally Bank staff shouldn't be under any work pressure but the problem is Banks are giving them targets to sell their products, loans or cards etc. And that is creating a lot of pressure on Bank employees.

Reduce banks in Tier 1-2 cities, add new banks in Villages and educate people to use online services. Sell your products online with the help of new technologies. There is no need to pressure Bank employees to work so much.

Apart from Transaction alerts all the Banks do not send any kind of messages beyond 9:00 pm. But to make the AAKA happy to get next promotion several bank’s managment has crossed all limits to disturb the customers overnight. Even banks do not send message to NPA customers beyond 7:00 pm but disturbing the good customers have become new normal.

It is not about inconvenience to Public anymore, now the tussle is that Govt want to show the Public that Bankers are the culprit while Govt is putting its best effort to serve the country and citizens. They want it to be a MASTERSTROKE at any cost, but it won’t be. Now even customers are coming in social media supporting banks.

Thank you @amitkilhor , @SushantBSinha and all other dear customers for understanding the bankers and bringing this issue to light. What bankers are demanding is 5DaysBanking which was already agreed upon and the file is pending for final approval at DFS for more than 1000 days and now the govt is saying “Let the dialogue continue” while there has been no Real dialogue in the last 1000 days.
