"Thank you, thank you for your service "
This was one of the most touching displays of patriotism. As Nigerian Soldiers passed through an airport terminal, passengers spontaneously erupted into applause, their appreciation palpable. #ThankASoldier
We will never know the depth of what the Japa phenomenon has done to many families and communities.
A family of 4kids,
One in usa, One in Australia, One in UK and the last one in Abuja. Mother is dead, father is old and lives in the village. This is not an isolated case. This is the story of thousands of families.
Friends split. Communities fractured. Families torn apart. Because the country has become such a hard place that so many have to travel far and wide to make something meaningful out of life.
Eventually for the money we chase and the survival we seek, by going far far away from home due to no fault of our own, we all eventually pay back in a price far higher than money can give.
To you who has missed the birth of your child, the burial of a loved one, the graduation of a sibling, the hugs of your family, because you were far away…
To everyone who has had to go far away from home, or who has had loved ones who have had to go far away from home, this one is for you…
Stumbled on this music group led by Finnish-South African singer and flute player Ayla Brinkmann called 'The Shameless Shongololo Band' on Youtube doing a cover of Lijadu sister's classic hit.
How did they do?
Father Matthew Kukah didn't allow Peter Obi boy and girls of AriseTv to put words in his mouth.
Once you are not saying what they want, you are not speaking truth to power like their partisan Bishop Jonh Onaiyekan and co.
BISHOP MATHEW KUKAH SCHOOLED @ruffydfire .

"Sango, Osun etc are ORISA and not GOD. ORISAs are the selected few by the Creator through which our supplications can be transmitted to GOD. We have shrines for ORISA, but there is no shrine for GOD......"

This isn't a World Bank presentation.
This isn't an MTN board meeting.
This isn't the headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS).
This is the boardroom of Agege Local Government Area in Lagos State, and the young man making the presentation is Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, the Executive Chairman of the council.
If your state's Exco chamber isn't this corporate, modern, and impressive, perhaps it's time to ask your governor a few questions. Not even your local government chairman this time around.

Gallant Nigerian Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have dismantled a JAS/ISWAP terrorist roadblock along the Buratai–Kamuya road in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, rescuing 53 civilians and recovering eight vehicles.
The operation was launched after troops deployed at Dutse Kura detected suspicious movements through surveillance cameras and observed terrorists blocking the highway. A Quick Reaction Force was immediately deployed and pursued the insurgents towards the Mangari–Dora axis, where troops engaged them in a firefight and forced them to retreat.
