To one of the most thoughtful and intellectually honest folks I have met in the investing world- thank you ๐. And yes, we look forward to a Sauce x Blume partnership deal soon ๐
Congrats to @Manu_Chandra of @SauceVc on winning the Midas Touch award at @StartupAwardsET this year.
I think it is the first time I am hearing of someone outside the larger funds winning this; and it is incredible that Manu won it investing in consumer brands (no tech, no SaaS) and today Sauce has a track record that is the envy of everyone in venture. Love that he is also pushing the envelope with his growth vehicles.
I also got to spend some time w Manu outside of the awards - he was gracious enough to take out time to share his learnings and pov.
Once again congrats Manu on behalf of Blume, and we look forward to partnering together on an opportunity soon!
Thanks @pranavmukul. What's bodes well is that not only are young Indian brands meeting the high bar of big global/Indian strategics, they are also performing incredibly well post acquisition. Most VC backed targets have created significant value and scale post acquisition.
๐ Had a detailed chat with Sauce's @Manu_Chandra as part of the winner interview series for ET Startup Awards 2026
Manu won the Midas Touch award for best investor
But during our conversation, what stuck with me was that Rs 100 crore brands aren't exciting anymore
