This is to memorialize those lost to the coronavirus by creating a map of stories and pictures of the great people loved. Map just getting started and below
“The last thing I want to do is to have to buy any more flags. And the best way to do that is to get vaccinated.”

Indiana families are among the thousands on an interactive map, creating a visual record of coronavirus victims.

Honored to be helping with @inamericaflags exhibit on the National Mall. Families dedicating flags to their loved ones lost to COVID. They can find their flag on a map and share loved ones stories https://t.co/4E6Alsvgq5
Each flag represents a life.
You can learn more about those lives at https://t.co/5pQXPk9HqF. Click on a white flag on the map to read its message. Scroll down and click on the Lost Loved Ones maps to see photos and memories shared by friends and family.
Did you have a customized flag for your lost loved one at the original @inamericaflags near RFK Stadium? If so, look for that flag in Section 00, close to the Washington Monument. Volunteers who also lost loved ones to #Covid are planting those flags there now. #InAmericaRemember
650,000+ flags — representing every American killed by COVID-19 — are being placed over 20 acres as part of an @inamericaflags installation.
It’s the largest art installation on the Mall since the AIDS Memorial Quilt, the group says.
If you will be unable to visit #InAmericaRemember in person, we invite you to use this form below to dedicate a flag in memory of someone whom you have lost to #COVID19.
We open Friday, September 17.
