President @Zourabichvili_S announced the commencement of meetings with European leaders to garner support for granting Georgia the status of a candidate country for EU membership. The presidential administration released this information on August 30.

According to their reports, the president was supposed to start meetings with European leaders with a visit to Berlin on August 31. However, the Georgian government declined to permit the president's visit to Ukraine and other countries. This decision is outlined in the statement issued by the government administration.

Alongside Ukraine, the government also denied the president's visit to several European countries, namely Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Denmark, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. Additionally, the government rejected the president's planned visits to the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
