Out of curiosity, here’s why I covered Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding in Italy so extensively 🇮🇹🤍
I’ve been heavily criticized for it and even lost some followers, but perhaps not everyone understood the deeper reason behind all this attention, including their honeymoon
This goes far beyond simple gossip or chasing the latest news
In recent years, Italy has seen several high-profile weddings that drew strong criticism, such as the Kardashian wedding in Portofino and Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice
Those events brought in enormous amounts of money and nothing more
Just money, with no real added value for the country, its image, or the local territories
What Dua Lipa did was completely different
Yes, she certainly generated some economic benefit, perhaps even a little less than the others, but unlike Kourtney Kardashian and her group, who basically stormed into Portofino and almost violated its refined, chic soul with their aggressive approach before leaving behind only a trail of cash, or like Bezos who took over Venice for days in the same way, Dua Lipa truly embraced the territory
She integrated herself into it
She created an aesthetic in perfect harmony with Sicily
She continued traveling across Italy, visiting monuments, squares, and fountains
They sought out charming little hotels instead of spending millions, discovered authentic restaurants, and genuinely added value to the places they visited
It reminds me of what happened years ago on Lake Como, where the territory was truly and deeply enhanced
That’s why I keep following and sharing every step of their journey
The locations are incredibly beautiful and interesting, offering wonderful inspiration for all of us
Unlike what Bezos or the Kardashians did, their choices feel approachable and affordable — things we can all experience and enjoy in our own way
This is truly the first time in many years that a group of VIPs has brought the spirit of la Dolce Vita back into the spotlight, but in an elegant, respectful, and delicate manner, treading lightly on the wonderful beauty of Italy
So thank you to them, and thank you to all of you who continue to follow me ❤️
VAMOOO RAFA!!!!! 🥇🇧🇷

The biggest mining company in Brazil just proved everyone on Wall Street wrong.
For two years, every newspaper said the same thing...
China is buying less steel. China is building fewer apartments. The companies that sell metal to China are dying.
On April 28, Vale put out their numbers for the first three months of 2026.
Profit went up 36% from a year ago.
Revenue went up 14%.
They sold more iron ore in three months than they have sold in any first quarter since 2018.
Vale is the company that mines the iron that China turns into steel. Brazil sits on the largest iron mine in the world, in a place called Carajás. Vale digs it up, puts it on a train, ships it across the Atlantic, and sells it.
Every single ton they sold in the first quarter cost them about $55 to make.
They sold each ton for almost $96.
That is $40 of profit per ton, before taxes.
They did this in a quarter where everyone said China was killing the iron ore business.
Here is what the experts got wrong...
China stopped building so many apartments. That is true. New home construction is down more than 20%.
But apartments are only 40% of what China uses steel for.
The other 60% is everything else. Cars. Bridges. Subway lines. Solar panels. Wind turbines. Ships. Power lines. Factories. EV batteries.
In 2025, China sold over 97 million tons of steel to other countries. That is the most in almost ten years.
In one month last fall, China imported more iron ore than ever before.
The story everyone was telling was right about apartments.
The story was wrong about everything else.
There is a second part nobody is talking about...
Australia mines iron too. For 50 years, Australia and Brazil have split the world iron market between them. The Australian iron used to be 62% pure iron.
It is not anymore.
Last year, Rio Tinto (the biggest Australian miner) had to admit their best iron ore is now 60.8% pure. The price-setting agency in 2026 had to lower the official world standard from 62% to 61%, just because the Australian rocks have gotten worse over time.
The Brazilian iron from Carajás is still 65% pure.
That sounds like a small difference. It is not.
When you make steel, lower-quality iron uses more coal, makes more pollution, and now costs more under Europe's new pollution rules that started in January 2026.
The grade gap is getting bigger, not smaller.
There is a third thing nobody is pricing...
Vale also mines copper and nickel. Those metals are everywhere now. Inside every electric car. Inside every battery. Inside every power line that connects a wind farm to a city.
In the first three months of 2026, Vale's profit from copper and nickel went up 116% in a single quarter. The nickel piece alone went up 576%.
Copper sold for 48% more than a year ago. Nickel mining costs went down 48%.
Wall Street is still pricing Vale like it is a one-trick company that only sells iron to Chinese apartment builders.
The numbers say something different...
Vale's stock trades at a big discount to the Australian companies that mine the same things. The American owners of Vale shares get a dividend payment of about 9% per year just for holding the stock.
The company gave shareholders $2.7 billion in three months.
For investors looking at Brazil right now, this is the simplest example of why the country is mispriced.
Brazil has metals, food, water, and energy that the rest of the world cannot replace.
The big well-known companies are still cheap.
The medium-sized companies that ship, process, and supply those big companies are even cheaper.
For 60 years, every analyst predicted Brazilian commodity companies would lose to Australia, then to Africa, then to China.
Brazil is still standing.
The story everyone is selling about China and iron ore got the wrong model.
The numbers from April 28 told us whose model was right.
