Don’t know if you’ve been watching the #KarenReadTrial , but today was Closing Arguments. I’m not rooting for anyone. But this closing by Alan Jackson.. was masterful!
I felt like I was listening to Matthew McConaughey in “𝐀 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐨 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥”. Even as a creative writer, I hate when people put on dramatics. And get too theatrical. Especially in court. And he wasn’t. It was a nice mix, of drop the mic moments, with facts. But the bulk of his closing was actual events and testimony that was said during the Trial. If I was that lady, I would have been confident that any dollar I paid, was well spent.
This is how you perform, but hit the jury with what THEY actually saw. What was said in court. To remind them of all that BS done on the other side. And this guy is from my city I just found out.
Chef’s kiss.🤌🏼
Brian Albert destroyed his phone, sold his house, tore up his basement, and rehomed his dog and yet, the O'Keefes think he is a great guy. How evil has this country become? #KarenReadTrial
Karen Read’s defense attorney, Alan Jackson, kicked off closing arguments on Tuesday. Jackson stated multiple times that he believes the prosecution lied throughout the trial and wants the jury to “look the other way” from what he considers the truth.
“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”
“I sincerely believe that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity under the name of funding is but swindling futurity on a large scale.”
Thomas Jefferson
