@bookingcom That’s not what happened. I reached out to the hotel directly. It’s disappointing that every platform your company has responded without actually investigating.
@leonardb420 @iLegionLuna@GovLauraKelly@mayor_tyrone @KCKPDChief “Convicted” through a corrupt detective, recently indicted on human trafficking charges, coercing and threatening the main witness, who proactively and willingly recanted. I’ll welcome being blocked by anyone so lacking a moral compass as to laugh off this situation.
@goldechild007@GovLauraKelly@mayor_tyrone @KCKPDChief It’s the corrupt detective who set him up, had several federal indictments, yet he’s at his home awaiting trial while the dozens of innocent folks he set up remain in KS prisons.
@LukeNozicka @GRicekcstar Sothe very same department that enabled and covered up Golubski for decades, and intimidated and threatened anyone who tried to sound the alarm, now believes they are the best situated to conduct a review of whether the convictions their department brought are corrupt?
@MonicaStrathman @ks_hare @PatrickforKS@CivilRights There are actually many multiple cases. Golubski didn’t act alone, he’s just the first to be indicted.
Under redistricting, roughly the northern half of Wyandotte is now in KS-02.
@AlatarielWriter I don’t disagree at all. I think it’s way more complicated than simply getting more folks to run. A healthy democracy requires policies and systems to support working class folks at every opportunity….and legislative pay is just one such example.
@Ho8Go8L1N Totally agree. The pay should be enough that someone could do the job and live modestly but comfortably without having to be independently wealthy, or beholden to some other employer.
@wbdamron@CivilRights On second thought…it’s not really a failure, because the Wyandotte systems are designed and intended to protect predators like Golubski. They were then, and they are now.
@wbdamron There are probably many reasons…but a supremely important one is the complete failure of political, legal, and criminal systems in Wyandotte County. It should not have required federal action, but it did. This is further evidence of the need for a @CivilRights investigation.
@cykelly1718 I mean that, despite there being much more work to do, I believe it’s worth celebrating when I see the brave Black women who stood up to intimidation and threats from local police and officials push this issue and force an indictment. I’m not sure we disagree.
@NPR@kcur@MOREsquared has been organizing for this step to be taken for years. I’ve talked with multiple family members with loved ones still wrongfully incarcerated this morning. Long way to go, but a big step forward in KC area today.
@ImNotMyDataPts While Mayor Garner is questioning staff negotiating contracts, wasnt he the one that negotiated the insanely high payouts to both Doug Bach and Cheryl Harrison Lee and lease himself a luxury vehicle?
