@StevenJonMiller Ideologically captured by so-called progressives. Most obvious the reporting of Trump and Gaza, but also the whole gender identity shitshow where they have actively ignored dissenting voices and cheered on highly contested viewpoints, thereby perpetuating serious damage to kids
@Richard08156270@ElectionMapsUK Two person ward, previously one Lab one LD. LD resigned. %s probably reflect the share for the highest place councillor in the previous election.
@EdwardJDavey Ridiculous statement. What should worry us all is that our national broadcaster, held up as a global standard bearer, has been found to have zero integrity.
@tnewtondunn No, the massive (seemingly) unanswerable question now is when will we see decent hospitalisation data that differentiate between those admitted *with* Covid and those *for* Covid
@ProfColinDavis But presumably the "Covid patients" numbers include admissions for other reasons where the individual is found to also have mild/asymptomatic Covid?
With Omicron so much more transmissible you'd expect many more such cases than for Alpha in 20/21.
Need better data.
@DrEricDing You need to be aware that UK Covid "hospitalisation" data include admissions for other reasons where the person is found to also have Covid. There is anecdotal evidence that the spike could be due to 'incidental Covid'. Needs separating out, but data for this not widely available
@Carruthers_DJ@globalhlthtwit@chrischirp Indeed, possibly because the hospitalisation data include hospital-acquired cases and people being admitted for other reasons, but test positive for COVID on admission? Really need better disaggregation here.
@globalhlthtwit@chrischirp Are there any numbers showing how many people are actually admitted *for* COVID? As far as I'm aware the 386 figure includes patients already in hospital testing positive and new patients admitted for other reasons (and testing positive on admission).
