This afternoon, Peers asked what action the UK Gov is taking to improve cardiac arrest outcomes.
@ResusCouncilUK wants the UK Gov to review aftercare for all survivors of cardiac arrest, so they can make a full recovery.

The Taskforce supports the Rare Cancers Bill. The Bill reaches its 3rd reading in Parliament tomorrow, Friday 12 July and we need at least 40 MPs in Westminster to ensure it progresses.
👉 We are calling on all MPs to attend and support the Bill.
I’ve cancelled constituency events on Friday as Christopher Chope has put amendments to lots of PMBs on Friday to gum up the works. Including 3rd reading of the rare cancers bill. This bill is important to me & I want to ensure it passes. You can see my 2nd reading speech here.
The Rare Cancers Bill is back in Parliament this Friday. It could be a turning point for people with rare and overlooked cancers.
We’re asking MPs to attend the debate and support the Bill.

Big news for my Rare Cancers Bill - Yesterday, it took a major step forward as the UK Government confirmed the funding needed for it to progress.
This clears the way for the Bill to move to the committee stage—where it will be examined line by line—and, hopefully, to a Third Reading on 11 July!
I'm especially grateful to Ashley Dalton MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention, for her continued support.

Yesterday @CliveJonesMP submitted an Early Day Motion calling for earlier brain tumour diagnosis, following the launch of our Exploring GP Access to Brain Scans report. A big thank you to Clive and his office for supporting this important issue. https://t.co/dqdZRWItPa
91% of UK parents believe more support is needed to teach #CPR skills to #students.
We💯% agree with them.
That’s why we’re supporting @ResusCouncilUK in urging governments to establish proper monitoring and support for #schools CPR training.

Inspired by Mikkel Damsgaard and Denmark's annual Football Jersey Friday, the lads wore their favourite retro shirts to training today, raising money and awareness for our Heart of West London initiative.

RCUK was privileged to attend a wonderful event at Parliament yesterday, hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Defibrillators. We were grateful to be joined by many of our partners and other charities who are doing fantastic, lifesaving work.

'Collaborating to create meaningful change' were excellent words spoken today by our friends at @SaveaLifeCymru who hosted an excellent event at Senedd Cymru, The Welsh Parliament. It's a privilege to be part of a UK wide team all working together to help give everyone, everywhere, an equal chance of surviving a cardiac arrest.
Anyone can have a cardiac arrest, yet studies suggest women are less likely to receive lifesaving CPR in public emergencies.
RCUK is fighting to close this gap and ensure CPR equality.
After suddenly losing their friend and teammate from cardiac arrest, @MeridianFC is dedicated to helping save lives in their community by spreading CPR and defib awareness and becoming ResusReady.
