@edmunds_dr Agreed. I sat down and did all the written questions. Not done MC yet. It's challenging and is harder than it looks at first glance. Not awful though, just hard. I can see how it would have made many pupils panic.

Looking at lesson sequencing. How do you teach your gcse physics specification?
1. A whole topic at a time eg the whole of P5 forces in one go.
2. Breaking topics up and spreading over the course

I noted on centre services that the mark schemes for the AQA A level physics exams are out.

Every year I sit down and answer the questions as a student would.

When the mark schemes come out I mark them honestly and see how I did.

It's great CPD.

@adamboxer1 Yes the term is vague and open to interpretation.
10 years ago, oracy was thrown about as getting pupils to speak in sentences.
'I don't have a pen' becomes 'could I please borrow a pen?'
'Solid' = 'the state of matter sounds travels fastest in is a solid.'
Etc etc

@gavbrown1979 @Phartvader @DJGteaching The very reason we moved. We did quite a bit of analysis and work with our EAL pupils and, in general, they found ocr easier to follow. Usually based on the fact that aqa qs spanned many pages and ocr tends not to.

@DJGteaching @MrTickers It has improved slightly in the last couple of years. Still not perfect but fine once you understand the limitations of formatting exported qs.
