One of my favorite parts about the first week of school is picking my read alouds! So many wonderful conversations started because of these picture books. @pernilleripp
A huge shout out to @bethanydeputy for helping with this science lesson! It was so much fun to see students code Dash as if it was a light ray. Students had to decide if Dash should reflect, refract, transmit, or absorb based on the object it hit. @RockingSciStone
Number sense routines are one of my favorite parts of math! Such great discussions during our Wednesday Which One Doesn’t Belong routine! @WODBMath@math_rickard
Today we used our fraction knowledge to explore doubling our ornament recipe, as well as figuring out the ingredients with equivalent fractions. After reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck, we created the Oobleck. We tied in science with a great discussion about phases of matter!
What a powerful read aloud. We celebrated the end of Amal Unbound with a breakout, traditional Pakistani food, and henna! @pernilleripp We love global read aloud!
My mathematicians have been using excellent reasoning and problem solving during math tasks and number sense routines! Order of operations was introduced this week after a game of Capture 5 with a visit from Aunt Sally👍 @math_rickard
