@Emaperidol Same! 1st rotation of MS3 (3 years ago now), I dx a coinfection w/ lyme and babesiosis b/c my patient had pancytopenia & wasn’t improving on just doxy. My senior resident humored me & we checked the smear! Still tell my med students 2 prove that they’re important team members.
