On this World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate all of the fearless, tireless humans who are part of this life-saving chain; from healthcare workers to nurses, to logistics coordinators to truck drivers. To every person who carries a box, crosses a border, or walks the last mile to make that journey to reach a child: thank you.
#WorldHumanitarianDay
The war in Sudan has raged on for 1210 days, at least 8 million children are without access to schooling, and millions of Sudanese are displaced in neighboring countries. I’ve seen the impact first hand from the border Chad shares with Sudan. During my visit, a young girl and a rape victim told me she had lost her ambition. The women, children and people of Sudan have waited over 3 years for this war, waged by men, to end. Enough is enough.
Great to celebrate this new @UNICEF & @USForeignAssist partnership of $218+m to save millions of lives & respond to numerous threats facing children. From malnutrition to conflict to natural disasters, this effort will ensure UNICEF is there #foreverychild

More than half a billion $$$ has been raised to get miracle paste, AKA #RUTF, into the bellies of children on the brink of starvation. As @PowerUSAID tells CNN, ready-to-use therapeutic food brings kids back to life. All kids deserve this miracle. @EdesiaNutrition@1000Days

New @UNICEF report finds that women and girls bear the brunt of undernutrition and anemia. As a global community, we must do more to address this crisis! Edesia is doing our part by making life-saving nutrition for women and girls around the world. https://t.co/MuSxmJGZ58
The US is a global leader in fighting maternal and child #malnutrition. We call on the US to continue its leadership with an early #N4GParis pledge of $13.3 billion, which is an inflation-adjusted version of the US pledge at the first Nutrition for Growth in 2013.
📢 We are thrilled to announce our $1.5M co-investment with CRI Foundation and @acfusa to accelerate the rapid adoption of @WHO guidelines on child wasting across Africa and Asia. https://t.co/UyrVf53Duc
@EleanorCrookFdn is proud to be one of 9 members of the Action Review Panel jointly issuing this statement alongside @unicef@FCDONutrition . Greater action is needed for 45M children suffering from wasting at any one time. We have the tools like #RUTF, we just need to use them.
The goal at @EdesiaNutrition is to end childhood malnutrition globally. Right here in Quonset they’re saving lives & getting nutritious food to kids around the world. Joined their summit with partners from near & far to talk about how we can support Edesia’s important mission.
In @Devex today, our CEO William Moore writes, "continued funding for RUTF is at risk at precisely the moment we need to sustain and scale up our support for this lifesaving treatment.”
With continued U.S. leadership, we can #endmalnutrition.

Almost 9 million people in Mali need humanitarian assistance - and half of them are children.
Our Deputy Executive Director @TedChaiban highlights how UNICEF teams on the ground are working around the clock with partners to save children’s lives and support families.
Africa is underrepresented in the global financial architecture, just as it lacks a permanent seat on the Security Council.
The world has changed. Global governance must change with it.
We need reforms to make global frameworks truly universal & representative of today's world.
“There are many problems in this world that will take decades to solve sustainably. Ending child deaths from wasting is not one of them. This is something we can do now.” ~ Will Moore, CEO, @EleanorCrookFdn
