He appointed Democrat James Talarico to the powerful House Committee on Calendars — the gatekeeper that decides which bills live or die on the floor.
This gives the minority party a veto over GOP priorities like border security, election integrity & tax relief — in a Republican majority House.
Not bipartisanship. Surrendering leverage.
Texas deserves a Speaker who fights for conservative wins.
