In mixed-gender job interviews telling a clean pun reduced social anxiety in females but increased it in males and signaled that they might tell inappropriate jokes later. Implication: The use of humor in today’s workplace remains a risky endeavor. https://t.co/QG536UNGiE
Parks and Rec prime example of counterproductive behavior, where April intentionally tries to avoid meetings by scheduling on a (seemingly) fake date https://t.co/4MpQ7EPwtK #buad5507
I read this article every few months. And scream. And you should, too, if we are going to create meaningful change. I want a world in the US where E will never have to wonder—if she chooses to have children—if she is “allowed” to take parental leave.

@DrBrittaniJ Amen! Although when I went for this, I was merely given a pamphlet and told to call them if the pamphlet didn’t help…and for this, my insurance was charged over $700. I need to find another provider, because I am convinced that a good one can actually help.
@Jon94790205 @J_Goldstein I’m struggling with this, too, Jon! I’m going to listen (although I didn’t get notifications that I thought Spotify would send for new eps); but I have to admit that purging all the other Spotify-only podcasts has been extremely freeing—don’t miss them a bit & have more time! 😁

It’s bittersweet deleting all of these podcast shows from @Gimletmedia and @ParcastNetwork ahead of their leaving @ApplePodcasts: Bitter bc I never imagined leaving them behind; but sweet bc the deletion of many dozens of shows should surely improve the performance of the app.
@ParcastNetwork I just realized how very different my morning routine will be after this month, without so many of my usual podcast episodes—thanks for a good run!
If you're in the NWA area, it's not too late to register for the Ozark Literacy Council's 2nd Annual Pigsibition Scavenger Hunt--it looks like lots of fun! @ozarkliteracy https://t.co/zFTwUo5bzM
This recent Army ad created some controversy b/c it's not tough and is abt a girl with two moms. I think it's inclusive and motivating. In any case, it shows some conflict between the masculine and feminine dimensions w/in the USA. #buad5507

#buad5507 Andy has a plan for becoming the #2 in Scranton, and it’s mostly based on ingratiation. It is fairly effective on Michael, until he realizes Andy lacks apparent sincerity.
