Use code: ziggy to save on all accounts.
Bold is the tree hiding the forest of friends who gave up on self-custody.
After a decade, we simply did a poor job of educating people on how to use the chains safely.
Stuck between being too dogmatic, pushing for purity of an overly complex system, and too reckless of yolo mode
Let me try again; don't just bookmark this do it. Give the link to this tweet to your AI and have it help you:
1) Use @ambire as your main wallet; it handles simulation, complex tx, and is designed to work well with @safe
2) Deploy a Safe now. I don't care if it's a 1/1 linked to your hot wallet for now; it's fine. It's already better this way, and with Ambire, using it is seamless.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE SAFE UI; Ambire will do it all for you.
3a) Generate a real seed; use pen and paper. You'll get the fancy steel stuff later if you want.
3b) Too lazy for the seed stuff? ok, use a "hotwallet" for your signer generated with a passkeys with an good password manager, you have a Mac? The Passwords app is fine; you're a Revolut client? NordPass is included; you ready to spend a bit? 1Password has a great API, and you'll love it once you're AI-pilled.
5) The signer wallet must hold no funds, doesn't hold gas, doesn't do any txs; it's the key to unlock the door of your safe; it signs, and that's it. You'll learn later that proposing (creating tx), signing, and executing tx are 3 different jobs that don't need to be done by the same wallets.
6a) Now create a second hot wallet, "executooor," and send some gas to it, a few bucks of ETH suffice. Use https://t.co/jnYpeoZ6nv to have some gas on every chain you use.
6b) Don't want to do that? No worries, use the "gas tank" feature on Ambire; it does the same job you can always improve later.
That's it for step one, and just that you're safer than Bold and 99% of guys out there.
Step 2 is buying a hardware wallet and rotating the safe signer with it for much safer holding
Once you're there, you can start considering a 1/2 with a second hw or with an old phone you have in your drawer that you've factory reset and will use only for that. You keep it out of easy reach; it's your insurance if something bad happens to your main signer.
Then maybe a 2/3 and the nerdy stuff; you can always do "better," but the foundation of all that is getting your first safe deployed and climbing from there.
Do it now; it's not hard, it's worth it.
Seeing a lot of posts complaining about why price didn’t take out NFP highs, price action sucks, blah blah blah.
Not here to shit on any system. Anything can work, if it makes ya money, CONTINUE ON. This is more for those struggling to find the why or the how or forcing a system that doesn’t fit well with their personality.
I think at a minimum people should learn and implement auction market theory. Using volume (by price) to gauge the market to find areas of acceptance/rejection can be a gamechanger and really help provide some clarity.
I did not trade today, realized last night today was NFP and I don’t care to trade on NFP/CPI days, that too before a long weekend.
Below on the screenshot (showing the MKT BEFORE NY Open) I marked zones and annotations of what I would have planned in pre-mkt alongside my current read on the auction. Yes it’s hindsight today, but I do the same thing every morning (check my posts) so I know this is how I’d mark and plan before the open.
Learn to spot the clues left by participants:
Note the build of volume at the highs during OVN session but failed to take out the PDH.
Clear LVN UNDER the major volume build from yesterday’s RTH session AND OVN session. IMO, if MKT was interested in higher, holding above this area into close of the PMKT session was key. Tells me MKT is ATTEMPTING to accept business lower in the short term.
OVN session closed at VAL BELOW its session LVN.
You could use that LVN as an overall line in the sand for the session.
The thinking could be, IF price gets above this LVN and holds, THEN you may try long with the intention MKT is looking to do business higher on the other side of the volume build. But IF there’s rejection, THEN you can lean against that for a higher quality short idea. Just an example of how you can frame a trade using AMT by forming a conditional hypothesis then waiting for the reaction.
MKT doesn't have to do anything, things can change on a dime. Having a system that allows you to make necessary changes and be flexible is the gamechanger. For me, AMT provided that clarity.
I’m not here to argue on which system is the best. Just to contribute positively to a very toxic cesspool here and there. Maybe it helps a person or two.
Have a great long weekend 🫡

I released Price Range Retrace Statistics [HERMAN] over a year ago - and it’s still one of those simple tools that gives you genuinely useful data.
It measures the historical % probability of price retracing back to the 50% level of a selected range.
No guessing. Just statistics showing how often price actually comes back to equilibrium.

Do you use the 50% level in your trading?
@hovah76 I mean thrown out of the game ? That's a little over the top. A technical foul would be more in line. But I will agree she does complain like a toddler on the court. She must have watched too much of LeBron growing up.
@RHerman When you select a random hour like that, are the probability % based on only the time frame selected? Or does it look at similar time frames from the past ?
