@EvelynB48974922 @TeachMissKomp Hi Evelyn! I have never heard of the read and write tool yet, but that does absolutely sound great for self help! I can’t wait to implement that as a strategy thanks for the suggestion!
@EDTElizabeth @TeachMissKomp Hi Elizabeth! I have never used JamBoard but have heard. Mentioned several times and am excited to use it! That’s awesome it allows for such great collaboration.
@TeachMissKomp #wuedt6020 I have used Google Docs and Google Slides before to promote collaboration. I always add a link to each Google assignment that takes students to a fresh Google doc where questions can be asked, suggestions can be made, and help can be given!
@KellyLWhaley1 @AshleyDills1 Hi Kelly! I love using Pear Deck in my virtual classroom and in person. I find it so engaging for my students. I haven’t heard of Jamboard though, so I cannot wait to check that out!
@NatalieTucci2@AshleyDills1 Hello! I’m a huge kahoot and quizlet fan as well, so I cannot wait to go try Gimbit! Love these tools for educational purposes as well as fun brain breaks!
@AshleyDills1#wuedt6020 I love using kahoot or quizlet for educational purposes but also this time of year for great brain breaks! They’re super quick and easy to implement, give the kiddos a nice breather from instruction and are about topics that relate to them and feel fun!
@ct55612 @SarahQJ I agree, I’m a much better learner especially of technology when I am able to be hands-on and in person. This has been a big learning curve of a year!
@ZTemple5 @SarahQJ I agree, getting to know students has definitely been a challenge especially not being able to see their faces or read their body language. We have also added many more getting to know you activities and brain breaks to our zoom sessions.
@TeachMissKomp @McCoolWILMu Such great advice! It can be so overwhelming initially to merge strong content and strong technology... but technology is truly meant to enhance instruction and the content so it’s important the content is strong first!
@CarsonB58760111 I agree! It’s important to get the hang of one or two pieces of technology before diving into a broad stream. It can be overwhelming, so starting off with similar programs and asking questions to colleagues is always helpful!
@SarahQJ Ask for help or strategies! It's amazing to see how different teachers utilize technology in different ways - so definitely talking through the technology/struggle with a colleague, and then continuing to ask how they implement it in their classroom go a long way! #wuedt6020
@SarahQJ#wuedt6020 Keeping track of full attendance during zoom sessions - I've had many students leave early or not show up on time due to tech issues - Instruction/lessons and the work that coincides is missed. To combat this, I have kept detailed daily notes on MIA students & work.
