Uganda accounted for 65.7% of the total transit cargo with 8.8 million tons, a 23.8% growth. Other key destinations included South Sudan (12.7%), DR Congo (11.8%), Rwanda (5.1%), and Tanzania (3.4%).

The Mombasa port remains a vital hub for regional trade, linking East Africa to global markets and driving economic growth.
