For those who pray, I would appreciate some prayers for an individual I know who is suffering from years of alcoholism and PTSD, who's body is now not doing well at all. They are trying to do better, but it is difficult and painful for them.
Coming soon: one of history’s most complex missions
Tune in on Tuesday, June 9, at 11am ET, to meet the astronauts flying aboard Artemis III, the mission that will test docking capabilities with commercial landers in low Earth orbit — an important step to crewed lunar landings.
On Wednesday I’ll be sharing with my email subscribers my first print release that’s entirely for charity- a limited edition release of an unprecedented extraterrestrial collaboration

China uses its Coast Guard, supposedly a law enforcement agency, to threaten its neighbors. All institutions in China are used for aggression by the CCP.
🔽Sailors are rushing to place a barrier between their ship and a Chinese Coast Guard vessel trying to ram them.
Today we remember the legendary Sir Christopher Lee, who passed away on this day in 2015.
From the commanding presence of Saruman to a life defined by heroism and heavy metal, he was a true legend of cinema.
@DeutschWatamate Movie, called the Final Countdown. It's about an aircraft carrier from the 1980s going through some time distortion wormhole thing and getting sent back just a day before Pearl Harbor.
@planefag Insane, the Government has been spying on my narrative concepts and decided "yeah, dropping bombs on Ecuadorian narco-terrorists is a good idea." This was my idea!
Between the CCP having their citizens operate illegal biolabs on the West Coast, and their constant machine of misinformation designed to fuel the creation of "grass-roots" anti-american industrial growth, it's a wonder they haven't tried (or been caught trying to) sabotaging SpaceX, Blue Origin, or Artemis. That's my fear of what we could see in the next few months/years. They're determined to defeat us industrially and in space expansion and I do not doubt they'd be willing to do anything to achieve it.
@Mark13prepper Oh absolutely, I didn't include it here, but a large part of the anti data center propaganda is part of China's modernization program, they try to slow down the US constantly.

On June 6, 1944, a 56-year-old general with a secret walked onto Utah Beach under fire, armed with a cane and a pistol.
The secret: his heart was failing. He had hidden it from the army doctors so they wouldn't pull him from the mission.
His name was Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Son of the President. He had begged three separate times to lead the first wave ashore at Normandy before his commanders finally said yes.
When his landing craft drifted 2,000 yards off course, every instinct said redirect the following waves to the correct zone. Instead, Roosevelt walked the beach himself, alone, under artillery fire, cane in hand, reading the terrain.
His verdict: "We'll start the war from right here."
He then stood on that beach and personally greeted every regiment that landed after him, pointing them inland, cracking jokes under shellfire, steadying 18-year-olds who had never seen combat. He did this for hours.
Years later, Omar Bradley was asked to name the single most heroic act he had ever witnessed in combat.
His answer, without hesitation: "Ted Roosevelt on Utah Beach."
Roosevelt's son, Captain Quentin Roosevelt II, also landed at Normandy that same morning. He was named after his uncle, Quentin Roosevelt, who had been shot down as a fighter pilot over France in World War I.
Three generations. Three wars. One family.
Theodore Roosevelt Jr. died in his sleep 36 days later. Heart attack. The thing he had been hiding finally won. He never learned he had been awarded the Medal of Honor.
He was buried at the Normandy American Cemetery.
In 1955, his family had his brother Quentin, killed in WWI, exhumed from where he fell in France and reinterred right beside him. Quentin is the only World War I soldier buried there.
Two brothers. Two world wars. The same French soil.
Their father had once said: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
Both of his sons did exactly that.
Pointe du Hoc
Normandy
June 6 1944
To the west or right flank of the Americans on Omaha Beach rose the Pointe du Hoc, a cliff upon which German heavy coastal artillery was emplaced. The guns had nearly a range of twelve miles and could deliver a fire on the ships and craft of Allied invasion fleet. A force of 200 Rangers under Lt. Col. James Rudder had been trained to scale the cliff and destroy the enemy guns and gunners.
Rudder led a small force against Pointe du Hoc. The bulk of his Rangers were boated, awaiting his signal that the cliff had been taken; then they would come ashore and move overland toward the point. But the signal never came. Rudder was delayed by enemy fire. His Ducks carrying his ladders were unable to penetrate a bomb pitted shelf beneath the cliff. The Rangers began firing their mortar propelled grapples but the water-soaked ropes were too heavy and fell short. Finally a few of them lodged and the Rangers began hauling themselves up hand over hand, while the Germans dropped grenades on them. An American destroyer swept inshore and cleared the cliff with 5-inch gunfire. The Rangers began bellying over the top.
They found a deserted, bomb-pitted tableland but no big guns. Then patrols pushing inland found the guns intact in an apple orchard. They had been hidden there to escape the American aerial bombardment but also might have been removed from sight from the big Allied battleships which their unprotected gunners might have been reluctant to duel. Whatever the reason, Rudder's Rangers disabled them by blowing their breeches, holding onto Pointe du Hoc against determined enemy counterattacks until reinforcements reached them two days later.
Meanwhile, the remaining Rangers offshore, receiving no signal, went roaring toward the beaches in their assault boats, losing some of them and taking casualties as they did. They began moving westward toward the base of Pointe du Hoc, fighting with great bravery and skill, adding their own considerable push to the slowly rising impetus of the American assault on Omaha Beach.
You need to be critical of China.
Being critical of China doesn't make you "racist" or a propagandist.
Hand waving away or brushing under the rug the very real offenses against the world China commits is weakness.
Especially when it's hypocritical to your worldview.
Chasing rocket launches is extremely addictive. I don't have any major ones coming for a bit so I'll be going through older launches and sharing photos I took that were never released.
This is from the GPS III launch last May.
There is a lot going on right now on the @Space_Station, but fortunately we are all safe and witnessed a spectacular southern aurora show yesterday thanks to a recent solar event.
