@patrickbetdavid @ScottiePippen We did not forget. Those of us that were paying attention at that time know he was one of the best role players of all time. Not one of the greatest of all time

So good

Things change, but baseball is always with us.

J.K. Simmons leads us into a very special family and friends under the lights celebration in Philadelphia on America’s 250th birthday 🎆

[Justine Bateman @JustineBateman]

America is a place, merged with an idea. Americans are those here who agree to this idea. The idea is that anything is possible and that you can live your life the way you want, so long as that way does not impinge on others’ ability to live the way they want.
As the current custodians of America, we will keep this idea sacred, so that it is healthy and alive for those who come after us. Just like those of the past 250 years did for us. Happy 4th of July.

@iamrodneysmith Been following you quietly for years. You are doing God’s work. Thank you!

[Mark Brown @MarkBrownESPN]

@bballbreakdown Brunson was amazing down the stretch but…. Why was Harden the central figure on BOTH ends during the collapse and OT?
Surely Atkinson had other options. And he had 4(t/o?) for most of that 18-1 run and didnt use them.
Mitchell completely uninvolved offensively when it counted

Nobody tunes in to the NCAA Champ game to watch incidental contact called fouls. Especially against only 1 team. Oh and a call that could go either way upgraded to a flagrant 1

@davidpollack47 Likely the best UConn big man performance in program history yet his perimeter teammates cannot make wide open 3s.
Furman is happy to surrender Reed 2s and fts in exchange for made 3s at the other end.

@BabsonAthletics @Babsonhoops @babsonalumni Finish the job! 43 years of friendship. Forever teammates. So proud of you Coach B! We will be there!

[Gaudreau Family 5K @Gaudreau5K]

“When we were first invited to Milan for the Olympics, we said no. It felt like more than we could handle. But we kept thinking about what John and Matty would say if they knew we turned it down. We knew the answer.

John loved representing his country. From the time he was little, he dreamed of competing at the Olympics. In that final summer, he was working harder than ever, pushing himself with everything he had to earn a spot on that roster. He was going to be there.

Sitting with that knowledge while watching these Games was not easy — but being present for them, surrounded by people who truly cared about John and Matty, made it something we will always treasure.

Every person we encountered took the time to ask about the boys — who they were, what they meant to us, the kind of people they were away from the ice.

What struck us most was realizing that John and Matty's impact reaches so much further than we sometimes see in our own grief.

They are carried by so many people — in locker rooms, in conversations, in quiet moments we will never even know about. That means everything to us.

And then Team USA won gold. When Zach, Auston, and Matthew carried John's jersey around that ice, we were overwhelmed — they made sure he was there. And then to see Noa and Johnny — on Johnny's second birthday — carried out onto the ice to be part of that gold medal photo — there are no words for what that felt like.

John and Matty should have been there, and in that moment, they were.

Thank you to every member of that team for loving John & Matty - and for making sure they were part of something historic. And thank you to everyone at @NBCOlympics and @usahockey for your kindness, your generosity, and for bringing our family to Milan to witness it.

You gave us a gift we didn't know we needed.

With love and gratitude,
The Gaudreau Family"

@SportsCenter Where is the love for the Rojas pick? Kike delivered an awkward in-between hop throw that Rojas made an amazing play on. He doesn’t come up with that and tying run is still on 2nd with Springer coming up. #WorldSeries

[Mark Brown @MarkBrownESPN]

@aaronbronsteter @jeff_cunning Aaron, I love that you are dialed into MLB. You’re asking all the right questions. No reason to pull Miller. These days analytics play a role at the expense of feel, momentum, gut managerial instinct.
Wilson made wrong call tonight but got away with it. Cheers my friend!

[Mark Brown @MarkBrownESPN]

@CoachJerryDe @PeterVecsey1 💯 For years(decades?) the game has moved toward analytics, trends over the course of 162 game/multiple seasons. At some point you must use your gut instinct as a manager especially in postseason. Cora does that and it makes a difference against managers like Boone.
