Huge congratulations to our CEO @georgewdunn as he receives the @FarmersWeekly 2022 Lifetime Achievement award. So fitting that his commitment to the tenanted sector of agriculture is recognised as he celebrates 25 years of being our Chief Executive. 👏🚜🌾🥂
Still buzzing after receiving the @FW_Awards Lifetime Achievement Award last night. A huge surprise and given the list of previous winners I can’t quite believe it. Thanks to everyone involved for a great night and for the many lovely messages I have received.
Very good to hear @ranil reference the forthcoming report of @Kate_Rock1 Tenancy Working Group in his #CPC22 speech on main stage. As a member of the TWG I know that there will be a huge number of easy wins that will make a significant difference to the resilience of the sector.
Well done @Ruralpay. I completed a 260ha arable farm BPS application with an ELS/HLS agreement in 12 minutes. Pre-populated, accurate, parcels remote mapped. Brilliant! I am sure that agents completing BPS on behalf of others will reduce their fees appropriately!
Huge thanks to @DefraGovUK Secretary of State, George Eustice for being our guest for tonight’s Webinar. Lots of ground covered including farm tenancies, ELM, trade, trees, AHDB & impact of the new Agriculture Act. Excellent chairing by @MarkCoulman
Afraid I don’t agree with the Sec of State, that sheep farmers can get around a no deal BREXIT by diversifying into beef. It is not that simple. What we need is both sides to compromise and get a free trade deal over the line

Dear @asda
With the threat of reducing food standards it would be really nice if you could implement a filter system on your online shopping app / website which allows the shopper to select country of origin - Or select BRITISH FOOD.

Just don't some rough number crunching, we have spent about 50-60k on farm improvements this year, a lot in itself. But when annualised over a 20yr tenancy it's more manageable. The key if you want your farm invested in landlords; length of tenancy term.
AHDB’s successful ‘midweek meal’ pork campaign resumes from October 5 for 6 weeks. The emphasis is on ease and affordability and features a new range of 'One pot' pulled- pork recipes that make the best of the impressive taste and value characteristics of pork shoulder.
The British public have made extraordinary sacrifices during this pandemic.
Boris Johnson’s attempt to blame the public for his Government’s incompetence is grossly insulting. https://t.co/DuaZkgQhVn
61% of the average English Farm Business Income derives from the CAP’s direct support - with huge variation across sectors.
From 8% in intensive poultry to a whopping 114% for mixed farming.
From 2021, government is withdrawing this direct support to £0 by 2027.

Drawing more lines on maps is not the answer when all farms have the propensity to deliver environmental outcomes alongside high quality food and fibre. https://t.co/Uoe9NXoBtb
As we approach the winter and colder months, the Farming Help charities are reminding the farming community not to suffer in silence. If you are going through a tough time or know someone else who is, please get in touch. We are here to help.
