Just for fun, let's use eggs as an example. We will say the wholesale price of a dozen of eggs is $2.50. A chain grocery store with a generous profit margin of 5% will sell the eggs for around $2.63/dozen.

At Mamdani's We Got Food and Stuff stores, eggs will be around $1.84/dozen after the 30% discount. That will be $0.66/dozen below the wholesale price.
