I don’t want to improve students’ math, literacy, science, physical education, arts, geography, or history scores.
I want to encourage students to be mathematicians, authors, scientists, athletes, musicians, artists, travellers, and historians.
Teachers, The only competition you have is with your Best Self. You don’t need to be just like the teacher down the hall. You have talents and skills to bring to the classroom that others may not have. The best you is what your students need & deserve!
Hey #wcdsbNTIP educators,
Have you used TAG Feedback?
This graphic and other tips, resources, and supports on ways to give POWERFUL DESCRIPTIVE FEEDBACK can be found in last weeks NTIP News (V.13)!

Important reminder to all school admin: You work for your staff-not the other way around. If you pull into your school every day thinking everyone works for YOU, you’re in the wrong position.
Since we hire teachers for their strengths, we should focus on helping them develop those strengths to excel. Never heard an admin say I am hiring you because of all your weaknesses, so we can make you mediocre!
As we debriefed today, I told my student teacher that when I feel like crap, the day’s biggest goal becomes “don’t pass it to the kids.”
A sophomore that I didn’t know was still in the classroom piped up, “you do a good job of that.” 💙
Thanks to Ms. Soutar, and students, Kiara and Yesica, for putting up our Black History Month boards highlighting key individuals across multiple industries and genres. #blm @calgarycatholicschooldistrict https://t.co/IXXjTPjzoe
On behalf of the St. Anne Family, we too wanted to thank @ccsdstgregory for all of your efforts in supporting KARA. And a big shout out of gratitude to @piejunkieyyc Crowfoot for their generous donation of pies & treats, not once, but three times this school year! We are blessed!
We just wanted to say, “Hang in there!”
Everyone is deserving of some quality time off soon, students and staff. Let the anticipation of Christmas, and the spirit of this blessed season, be the drivers for your work. Let your successes be your Christmas gift to yourself.

This is a small subset of staff, and special guest Fr. Julian, that prepare and serve food to our students. Thank you to @BrownBaggingIt and @BreakfastCanada for your tireless contributions. Filling our students’ bellies & hearts with gratitude. #HappyThanksgiving
To celebrate even more awesomeness in this acknowledgement, we are so thankful for the generosity of the Midtown @CalgaryCoop and support from our donor to ensure that families from FOUR @ccsd_edu schools are eating turkey this Thanksgiving! #thankful#HappyThanksgiving
