@chinalawpolicy@opinion_joe@NYCMayor The lack of parent responses was a sign of confusion, or of parents wanting to wait and see what's really happening in September. Definitely not a vote of confidence.
@chinalawpolicy@opinion_joe Also, I was flabbergasted by @NYCMayor press conference asserting DOE survey showed parent support. The survey was designed so that "no response" = blended learning. Parents can easily leave blended for on-line learning (but not the reverse).
I’m glad Jumaane and I were there to de-escalate last night. But real de-escalation? End the curfew. Stand the NYPD down from aggressive tactics. Protect against looting, of course. But allow space for protest. And start real work to end abusive policing.
As she often does, @SenWarren provides a cogent summary of how federal policymakers should be thinking about the pandemic in the coming months. https://t.co/zkX0E7ncK5

Dear @JeffFlake@SenatorCollins@lisamurkowski - please watch this video. Then explain how you can reconcile a vote for #Kavanaugh with a bipartisan culture that takes violence against women and sexual assault seriously.
Trump mocked Christine Blasey Ford's testimony about her alleged assault by Brett Kavanaugh, drawing cheers and laughter from supporters

For @realDonaldTrump to blantantly mock Dr. Ford & her story is insulting to every woman in our country & across the globe.
Shame on Donald Trump.
We have 35 days. On November 6th let’s show the world we stand up and speak out when someone tries to silence us.
A president of the United States is saying that a criminal’s loyalty to his fellow criminals is a sacred principle, and that it’s wrong for law enforcement to interfere with that.
